So for everyone that knows me personally I have a mild stuttering case. It's not as bad as what was aired on the Discovery Channel or anything. But it is noticeable, and it kinda gets in the way at work.

A couple of nights ago one new manager did not know I stuttered. And while I was trying to explain something to him, he immeditely tried to interupt me with the whole "uh-uh-uh-uh-uh" ordeal. Once he did that, a lot of my co-workers heard this and immediately confronted him while I just walked into the break room. About a half hour later he confronted me apologizing that he did not know I stuttered, and promised that would never happen again.

And then there are times where I am in public talking to people and it just happens. 20% of the time is with people my age and there is a smirk or two. Not being paranoid or anything. But it just feels awkward.

Finally, with my own family: I get interrupted a lot, "Slow Down" preaches, and even my own family members finishing what I have to say. It's annoying as all hell and I have stated multiple times to not do those things. There was one night I was at a bar doing Karaoke, I was singing some Pink Floyd, Ozzy, and other random songs (For some reason. I don't stutter when I am singing). And when I would get compliments I immediately start to stutter. First impression? Oh! You stutter? My son stutters too!

Ugh, this has got to end. So I did some research on how well Darden covers me and found out that I only have to pay about a grand for the product. It has been proven that it works.

I have an appointment in a month on getting the beginner's therapy for the product. Down payment is $240, and it also includes fitting of the earpiece. Then I need to pay another $100 every three months until it's totally paid off.

Honestly, I am a little excited. I get my car paid off this month. So this is going to help me out.

That sounds great, i used to stutter uncontrollably when i was a kid and i still do but it's a lot less frequent now as opposed to my childhood but i was place in a grammer course and that cleared it up, i don't know how old your son is but it helped me out when i was around 10.

I too stutter, not all the time though. I do it when I feel nervous or when I'm on the phone, which probably brought about my phone phobia. Seriously, there's nothing more annoying that somebody who feels the need to finish your sentence every single time you start to stutter, even more so if you tell them not to do it beforehand!

I've heard of the earpiece, it is supposed to echo what you're saying, very slightly. The reason you don't stutter while singing is where the idea for this piece of tech came from. When singing in a choir or with harmony, your brain just doesn't stutter anymore. If I had the money for something like this I would definitely get one.

Good for you, I hope it pays off quickly. My nephew stutters as well, I should tell him about it. The navy should cover enough for it, and they pay him enough.
