Reason for this thread is because I am sure most of us can't connect to the channel through the Java client. But that's ok. I am here to help! First off, there are other ways of joining us. Some are free ways, and others are means of paying (Although the pay way can be used for free. The client just nags you about it). If you want to go the Free way. Get Xchat, I never used this program so I can not help you on how you connect through IRC. The other way is getting mIRC Which is what I use. But if you want to get through the nagging and begging popups the client provides. PM me. And I'll hook you up. This is a Xeogaming 'most wanted' and hardly no one is using this feature. Hell, it's a good way to chat with users without having to share screen names on multiple clients. Also, DS has added thread reporting. So whenever a new user has replied to a thread in Xeogaming, a bot automatically tells you when, where, and what thread the thread was posted in. Which makes it valuable to just about everyone chilling out. Now, about this member part: I am sure us oldies have recruited people in the past and sure, they have stuck around; they stopped posting. But hey. Most of us are in school! Like, Grade, college, and Universities. Why not advertise? This isn't five years ago when we could tell our friends. It might be high time we let in a new crowd in and flourish in on these forums. As for me? I am already working on getting folks in here. But I am avoiding certain people. For example; the Nerd Crew at my University. All of them are 4chan fuckwads who will constantly shout memes every which way. So instead. I am advertising through other means. Such as people I work with and people I am acquaintances with. But back with the IRC. Get on the chat damnit. It's awesome. |

| XChat is pretty simple to setup, I'll post a little tutorial on it sometime. It comes up with a list straight away which you can add the Xeogaming IRC server info in. As far as I know it's quite similar to mIRC just without a bajillion options I never needed to use.
EDIT XChat Instructions Step 1: First, click the 'add' button to add a new network to the list. Rename this to something memorable, in my case, it was Xeogaming. 
Step 2: Click the edit button to bring up this next screen. On this, click on 'newserver/6667' then click the Edit button. 
Step 3: Change the details to the following. Put #xeogaming as your favourite channel so it starts up the moment you connect, assuming you don't have any other reason to be on the server.

| I still keep on with Skype enough but a vast majority of the time it's over something like Pangya or Borderlands as of late.
The whole 'everyone is on Skype talking' kinda sucks most times. Most of the good long conversations I'll have with just two to four people, though. Otherwise it gets confusing as heck waiting for half-duplex to take effect. |
