| So I just purchased Evangelion 1.11 and it was fantastic! 2.22 comes out in 9 days and I can't freakin wait!
Basically the show is a remastered and rebuilt from the ground up. It even comes complete with new scenes and several new pilots that make it to the show. If you do get these movies guys make sure you watch it in 1080p and in full blown DTS surround sound. You will literally get blown away! Oh yeah. And Shingi finally grows a fucking pair of balls. |

| Watched 2.22 last night (my brother got it last week for some reason) and it was epic. Totally new spin on the story of Eva. Only the basics of the original series are preserved, everything else is different. Rei is more human, Asuka is more kind, Kensuke sounds like a girl (to me at least), Gendo is less of a douche (he actually talks to Shinji kindly more than once!), and the angel battles are 1000 times better! Plus, there is another female pilot that is actually pretty good looking, even if she is somewhat crazy. =D

| Yeah I just got done watching 2.22 it came out today.
It's fucking unreal. It's like reliving the entire series but it's rebuilt from the ground up. Also, my father loved both movies. He thought it was trippy as fuck E- Yes I agree with Alex. This is something you need to watch in 1080p with DTS surround sound. Plus the English Dub is so FUCKING AWESOME! Spoiler:

| I dunno man, the English dub in the series was horrible and part of why I hated the series so much up until last summer. I rewatched it in Japanese and Shinji was actually tolerable, lol. But maybe they sound a lot in the new movies. | |||

| In the new movies it's actually incredible. Shinji actually has times where you get goosebumps and I can attest that I was rooting for him in certain fights.
Plus not to mention that the new movies has a lot of changes to the series that actually is very interesting to watch. I mean God Damn if there is one Anime series you need to pick up and purchase: Evangelion 1.11 and 2.22 are the ones to get. | Big rumor flooding the net is that Evangelion 3.0 will be hitting theatres this September in a national worldwide release.
Funimation is supposidly glad of the success Evangelion has done here in America and hopes to bring this movie to theatres the same day as Japan gets theirs. Also I just got done reading the entire Manga series which is supposed to play in part with the actual remake of the series. And holy crap what a twist the manga has. Spoiler:
