Got a weird job working for a company under Lowe's for the next few months, so I'm adjusting to a new schedule and have been a little busy lately. Once I'm really in the groove I'll probably look for a second job to get more hours/money.

Finally! Money, I've been pretty stressed and dealing with a lot of anxiety for a year so I think this'll help a lot. It just sucks that I started early April and the pay dates are two weeks ahead of what you work, my last jobs were just one week, so I've literally been working on and off all month but don't get my first check until the 27th. It can't come soon enough.

My life has been busy as of late. I just move a full state away for where I have been living for the last 20 years. My son started crawling everywhere so I am chasing him around everywhere. I also have a second little one on the way that I am getting ready for. I have insomnia as well so I have do have a lot more time to do things but I have no energy to keep up with my son.

Yesterday was spent helping with the taping of a few episodes of this panel show for PBS.

Today, heading down to San Diego for a steampunk convention.

Graduating in two weeks and a day, and it's crunch time.

I've got a story on campus veterans due this week as I wrap up my internship, as well as a paper for my Asian-American studies class. My FINAL paper, the 25-pager, is due three days after graduation.

I'm walking in two ceremonies - one for Filipino students, which is in a week, and the big one.

I'm quite, quite, quite, busy.

Along with school and siblings and looking through colleges, I barely have time to relax. I do find relaxation within posting, so I hope to continue to do so for quite some time.

I tend to do a ton of posts, go inactive, then start posting again a few months later. It has become a trend as of late.

A stress-free weekend always does me good, as they are quite rare

I'm pretty booked this weekend. Thursday, have a meeting with this media activist group. Friday, watching my grandmother, pending that there isn't family drama over it.

Saturday, Brandon, Stitch, and I are flying up to the Bay Area for this Burning Man-like event and hanging out all day at it with friends before flying back down.

Sunday, I'm graduating. FINALLY.

Heh, I'm incredibly bored.

Looks like I might have something lined up for next week, and I'm getting paid to read a friend's manuscript, but I found myself sitting around melting crayons yesterday.

And... I... uh... just won tickets to a Transformers convention this weekend. Woot?

Awesome!

I've been going through a Transformers craze lately, right alongside my Pony craze!

God bless Hasbro!

I can just picture that interview...

Reporter: Rogue, you just graduated from college! What are you gonna do next?

Rogue: I dunno... melt some crayons, I guess.

Heck yeah.

I've also been going through tons of unedited photos, updated my resume, sent out feeler e-mails to publications, started figuring out how to make a plaster cast of my head, got in contact with a friend at this online local news site, began reading the manuscript, and started drafting a cover letter for this paper I'm looking into applying for.

But yeah, melting crayons... and watching Maury Povich play "Which of These Hollywood Starlets Was Born a Man?" and "Which of These 20 Guys Is the Father of This Slut's Triplets?"

EDIT: I'm also flying up with Stitch to go to the gay pride festival in San Francisco some time this month. Wish I could afford one of those "It's OK to be Takei" shirts, but then again I'm sure there'd be tons of people wearing them there.

So I've become unexpectedly busy. Friday, had the Asian activist group I've been getting into drop a 40-page newsletter on me and wanting me to get started on it right away as it was supposed to be done in December. They've apparently hired other people to do it before, but it's consistently fallen through.

I e-mailed them a few weeks back offering that I would do it, but was told they already handed it off to someone else. So when I got an e-mail from the president Friday, it pretty much went, "Why didn't you offer sooner? I handed this off to this other guy and he's had it for a week and he's STILL not done. You finish it in a week!" Greeeeeeat.

The guy kept frantically calling and e-mailing to tell me to change things to grayscale and so on as though I should drop everything and just work on this whether I had plans this weekend or not.

We'll see how this goes. Truthfully, the newsletter does need A LOT of work.

I love when people drop shit on you like that.

I have been helping my friend Bernard with cultural and background development for the world he created for a LARP. Problem is that he started running the larp before we got things flushed out so now it is a constant race against the clock.

This weekend is WyrdCon, the larp convention hosted by Live Effects, which is the group that our game is being run in... so I have been spending most of my time trying to finish cultural lores on the country that the game this weekend is supposed to be in. Plus I apparently have to convert all the NPC notes into paragraph form for the players because the other members of plot are incapable of writing a coherent sentence that doesn't sound like it was uttered by a 13 year old on speed (the emissary of war is not all about "epic winning").

I reckon that if I spent as much time working on Darkfang as I do this damn larp world, I would have finished already or be nearly done. Almost all of it is my intellectual property... I should write books set in this world.

Still working on the newsletter. I'm up to page 12. The guy I'm doing this for has some very specific instructions on where he wants pictures and the designs of certain pages, but they're VERY difficult to meet. Hence why I'm only on page 12. I really only started on Monday since I had to wait to get a template from the last person who did this.

I HATE this thing.

Got another writing job. They're cool if I start in two weeks since I told them about the newsletter.

Hopefully I'll have a fair amount of money saved up by October.

Working 55 hours a week. Still enough time to work on my project, Raid on WoW, and sleep for 5 hours. Fun.

But seriously I am getting that freakin' raise if it kills me. So far it's starting to show that I AM getting it. Even my boss was talking to me about it today and I was stoked to hear that in two weeks is when I will know for sure. If I don't I am putting in my two weeks notice. I'd rather get paid the same amount hosting than I would driving a truck around town all day. So either or I am going to get paid mad cash.

E- Whats funny is that all these hours I am pulling I had enough to pay off the IRS in one week, and save up over $500 on my computer on the second and third week. So I may be working my balls off here but at least I am getting mad cash.

I could use some mad cash right about now. Just found out my temp job ends around early July, so ... let's hope I find something soon.

Just got my computer fixed. Haven't had a working one in months.

If you're interested in my life, I'll break it down for you. I make sandwiches for minimum wage at Subway, I'm working on a number of secret film projects, and I'm trying to build a working raft this summer.

Y'all know you missed me.

We start in Athens. Unfortunately there won't be time to visit the Parthenon, but Brandon and I figure it's an excuse to come back since I've ALWAYS wanted to visit Greece. Then we sail to Alexandria and take a day tour heading toward Cairo to the Pyramids and Sphinx. Then we go to Israel for a few days, visit Jerusalem and Nazareth. Then I think we're going to Turkey for a day, and then a couple places in Greece again, and then the cruise ends in Rome. Not sure how much time we'll have to visit things there.

My parents are pretty much treating this as a sampler tour, seeing what they'd want to come back and visit again.

Anyway, chipping away at the newsletter. It's coming along.
