Well, it was more than Glee, really.

I was on a cast for more than 2 years, did a few Rocky Horror conventions, and worked on a few shows. This past weekend, my boyfriend and his band were asked to come play this Halloween event in West Hollywood this past weekend as part of a celebration of the 35th anniversary of the movie. They ended up playing most of the songs off the soundtrack and a couple out of "Shock Treatment."

But even more so, the entire night so many people played the Time Warp over and over again. We even broke the record for having the most people dance the Time Warp at the same time.

Amusingly enough, I hate Glee, but I actually liked the Rocky Horror episode. I thought this was hilarious since so many of my friends who are deeply into Glee hated that episode, and the same went for the diehard Rocky fans who also love Glee.

Yeah, the soundtrack's just been way overplayed for me lately. Fox was determined to create a massive buzz around Rocky so they'd sell their brand new Blu-Ray DVD.

That Katy Perry song that goes, "Baby, You're a Firework!!!!" or whatever. It needs to stop getting played in every single commercial and everywhere else for that matter.

I went on a roadtrip a couple weeks ago with someone who, whenever the song came on the radio, would sing along with it loudly. Every line. Down to the stupid gasps Katy Perry does with the chorus.

Now it's like that song is all over the place.

That and that "Fuck You" song. It's a good song, but now it's WAY over-played. For crying out loud, William Shatner covered it.

Also, I'm surrounded by people who shout, "FUCK YOU!!!!11!1!!!!!1" over the radio-edited one that replaces the line with "Forget You."

Why hello, new song that keeps getting stuck in my head.

I keep catching myself humming this song ... CONSTANTLY. I'm walking around a museum humming it loudly to myself and didn't realize it until Brandon pointed it out.

Porn Star Dancing, TNT, and The Sex Is Good. Every fucking day that the radio's on, two of the three play. Although, to be fair, it's on for six hours at a time; after a while you're going to hit the same songs.

On the other hand, this station also plays quite a few songs I do like, and isn't nearly as repetitive as the others around here. Plus, it's not country. So it's not all bad.

I'm sick of hearing this Rebecca Black's "Friday" song

People keep on bringing it up over and over again, when personally I think it's stupid to listen to a monotonous song that is more like talking than singing... just not my taste

Agreed. Friday sucks. Oh, and there's this other song that's really annoying. "I can walk on water, I can fly" by some guy named Basshunter. It really gets on your nerves if it's sped up.

"I Need A Doctor' by Dr. Dre. I actually liked this song when I first heard it, but the radio playing it to death has ruined it for me. And I don' t even listen to radio that much and it STILL comes on whenever I do. That's why I just stick to my iPod or XM now.

"Home," by Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros." It plays at almost every single event held in Los Angeles, and about half of the bars I've walked into the last couple years.

It's become this hipster anthem of sorts. A friend of mine who does a stand-up routine that's more him philosophizing for two hours on stages plays it before shows (among other songs).

Anyway, if you don't know the song I'm talking about, it might be familiar hearing it below. It's been appearing in loads of commercials and trailers, specifically for indie flicks, lately.

Gypsy Woman.

Every motherfucking day.

Now, there's other songs that play every day - Diamond Eyes and Black Hole Sun, for example. But the former is one of my favorite songs, and Black Hole Sun isn't really all that... loud, for lack of a better word. Gypsy Woman is not easy to tune out.

Also hate anything from Kid Rock. Just wanted to get that out of the way.

(and so you don't say "just change the station", I happen to like Diamond Eyes, Black Hole Sun, Your Decision, The Road I'm On, Inside the Fire, Twilight Zone, Bad Company, Don't Close Your Eyes, Come As You Are, Bu2b, Sympathy For The Devil, Nobody's Fool, Hey You, most of the Alice in Chains songs, Outside, When I Come Around, New Year's Day...)

So I didn't think that I could hate country music more than I already did until I had to hear it for two days straight at work, even the iPod couldn't drown it out... I learned two things:

1) Satellite radio plays on a loop
2) Some song that I think is called "Look It Up" is the most annoying fucking song I have ever been forced to listen to.

My ears hurt from blasting metal to drown it out, and I don't care about the consequences.

Astrophel I personally liked Diamond Eyes. It was about everything I was NOT doing in Iraq.

I have given up on the radio because ET by Katy Perry has been blaring everyday.... I hate that song.

Today was going great musically. Inside the Fire, Outside, Twilight Zone, Dream On, Your Decision, Diamond Eyes... Almost every song on this station that I like was playing.

What ruined it?

This. Goddamn. Song.

I'm sick of mom getting hammered and blaring the same 3 country songs over and over and over until 2 in the morning... so I'm drowning that crap out with Ayreon.

That Nyan Cat song. A friend of mine keeps posting it to my Facebook and her own, and that damn meme has been popping up in the most random places.

It's the new Caramelldansen, which was the new Hare Hare Yukai.

I found a 56-hour-long version. I listened to it for 13 of them.

My mother at first kept asking me to turn it off, but after the second hour, she was so used to it that she tuned it out completely! XD

Yeah, I made it through two hours of the ten-hour Caramelldansen before I left the house to go on with my day.

As for songs I'm sick of hearing, let's add that Daniel Powter song about having a bad day.

I hate that song so damn much, especially these past few days while I'm driving and someone's blasting it and singing along like they just had that proverbial bad day and now they want to bring everyone else down while they try to feel uplifted.

The song always makes me think of teenage girls and women with mid-life crises, because I'm certain that's for whom it was written.

It's like a Hallmark card for expressing your supposedly deep personality without having to write it in your Xanga journal or deal with it yourself artistically, because hey, you can just crank it and shout the lyrics along much to everyone else's disdain.
