Awesome things happen all the time in games. They're meant to.

That's not what this thread's about, though. Sometimes, everything comes together for an awesome scene just through being damn good at the game, or just pure horseshit luck.

That's what we're here for.

I'll start with the inspiration for this topic. If you have more than one story, I recommend using horizontal lines (<hr>) to seperate them.



I was playing Pokemon SoulSilver at work today, fighting Jasmine. L35 Steelix (Steel/Ground type) vs. Gauss, L31 Magneton (Steel/Electric).

(It wasn't going well, can you tell?)

Her Steelix is just above red health, definitely more than Gauss can hit for in one attack, and its Iron Tail knocks Gauss to critical.

I plan to revive Aster, my Fire Blasting Clefairy, and then Jasmine gives what I can only guess is her Almost Beaten quote.

"Steel holds on until the very end."
Gauss used Flash Cannon!
Critical hit!
Foe's Steelix fainted!

Well, Nelrith and I were playing Gundam Battle Assault 2 (many years ago)

Played it so much, the CD started to glitch out. I forgot when he was using, but I was using Gundam Wing.

Usually, Wing's specialty move has him jump in the air, and shoot down a big beam while saying "I'll kill you"

Well, instead of that, it slowed down, the CD then glitched, and replaced it with the game over screen voice that said "You need more practice!"

A bit of lulz for you.

Backstory to this: The two screen names shown other than myself in this shot were two people that I had play this game for the first time. This was the first hole. Pulled off a perfect backspin tomahawk in 8m wind and got a hole in one. Elicited reactions were to Bitmap in this particular case in Skype. Quite lulzy, quite weird, quite epic.

Oh, and Bitmap's comp crashed after that shot. Too bad I didn't get this all on actual video...but a screenshot suffices.

Another funny story that I am not proud of at all. However, I do remember this night and I still to this day think my friends were messing with me.

I have a good friend that I still talk with and him and I used to smoke a lot of pot. And I mean a lot. We were pretty hardcore in these days and the games we played were Super mash Brothers melee, and Saga Frontier.

Well this night we had maybe...I dunno how much weed but we had a lot. My friend and I had our own bongs and we were ripping through this weed like there was no tomorrow. We were pretty baked out of our minds.

I'm nothing. Compared to my friend. By the way. But this one night, for some reason the tables were turned with the most unusual character I chose: Mewtwo

My friend is a hardcore Ganondorf player. And in the past while we were sober or stoned: He would kick my ass. But when I was blown out of my mind? For some stupid reason I chose mewtwo and all hell broke loose!

During the time i was playing Mewtwo, my hands were frozen. Like, I was having a panic attack because of the amount of weed I was smoking. The entire time i was fighting my hands were in an awkward position and for some reason. No one could lay a finger on me. My friend was cursing at the TV and then what seemed like hours later (Which was actually a few minutes) The score was 3-0. I didn't die. As Mewtwo.

I mean sure, we were baked. But my friend likes to point it out as one of the GREATEST matches he has ever played against me while I was blown out of my mind.

But at least I won! Horray! Now I won't be able to do THAT again! (And Mewtwo? Seriously? I dunno how I thought about playing that character). I usually play as either Ice Climbers, or Sheik
