Wow, that just sounds sad.
We finally found a gaming group... now to slowly corrupt them to our ways. I have also remembered just how much working sucks when you are not allowed to sit down. |

Gaming groups are the best. I'm trying to slowly spread my influence like a terrible disease of the best kind.

Originally posted by SirAileron Well, a lot of people know me assume that I go to groups like this all the time and "game" with random people. This is absolutely rare, and even when I try doing stuff like this, I am always remembered why I don't do it all the time. Some nerds need to learn how to fucking shower properly. The ones that do shower properly are always creepy as fuck and really go deep into stuff I just don't agree with! But there are some cool friends that when we usually hang out we get drunk and play computer games. By drunk I mean i'm the only one drinking and just like Duke Nukem when i drink I become harder to kill in videogames. I admit that I am a nerd. But not the steyrotypical nerd that does not shower and is 100% always awkward as fuck Oh yeah, and take showers. You, yes you. You FUCKING NERD |

Actually...I think sterio-typical nerds are hard to find.
I mean...for starters, people think "gamers" or "nerds" are shy. Pfft. Sir Aileron will tell you. Get me in front of a crowd, and you're mine. I THRIVE on being in front of people. Public speaking, while I'm "normal" enough to say scares me, I love it at the same time. It's like bungee jumping, to me. Something I'm afraid of the moment before every time, but super exhilarating once I'm doing it. Plus, Ails will tell you I'm NOT shy by any means. Nor withdrawn. Just as chatty IRL as you all get the "joys" of witnessing here. (and I could say the same about Ails, actually.) Also, I'm not the best looking thing out there, but I'm hella clean. I look presentable. I'm able to be in other situations and function properly in them, if not actually excel. But NONE of this means I won't own your ass in Gears. Just sayin'. (I was bored enough to type out this mini self-evaluation.) One thing that DOES upset me though, is when people think I'm not able to enjoy the thing I enjoy oh so much (Like video games) and they treat me like I wouldn't know what I'm talking about...yeah...So...don't judge. :p |

One thing I love about girl gamers is what really draws them out is the fact they some girl gamers are really attractive. But here comes bitmap, who somehow get's the most attention by being the "LOL SO RUDE BUT FUNNY" kinda guy.
Exaample. Never fails, I always ask girls gamers to marry me after doing something for me in game. "Oh hey, the flag was taken. Mind if you hunt them down and marry me"? "Oh man I don't have enough resources. Can you give me some and accept my hand in marrage"? "After this game is it ok if we do some 1 on 1? After marrage of course" For some reason some girls love the sarcastic jokes like that when it comes to folks like me. I mean it's not serious or flirting by any means at all. But I just don't see myself pulling that off as something that will "Sweep you off your feet" but 99.99% of the gamer girls I met find it hilarious as all hell and it's a good starter conversation to just have fun gaming while talking. Also Katana mind if you do me a favor and report me to the mods and perhaps get married with me sometime? Thanks E- Oh, and not dissing you at all Katana. So if you fit this description them I am terribly sorry. I don't even know you personally so yeah. But there was this one chick I knew. We dated. We become friends. And then just trying to hang out with her was a chore due to the fact that TONS of people liked her and she would just gather attention for the FACT that she was a gamurgurl. Then facebook rolled around and talking about her body in games was kinda...ehh, I just stopped talking to her entirely. That was a little much. It's kinda like being that girl who plays games. But wants to be naked while doing so to get the most fucking attention possible and THATS annoying. (Last edited by Bitmap on 09-11-11 09:29 PM) |

Nothing wrong with gamer girls. Nothing wrong with them wanting a little extra attention from time to time. However, EVERYTHING is wrong with an attention whore.

Originally posted by Bitmap Yeah. I get that reputation a bit too. The shit that I say, people are like "Dude, that's terrible...but so funny." XD Peas in a pod, you and I, Bitmap. XD Attention whores ARE weird. Although, when I get REALLY bored, I sorta kinda become one. And by sorta kinda, I mean definitely. But, I dunno...it's like I'm addicted to making people laugh. And so I get on my kicks where people are laughing and so I keep going. And usually the one making the room laugh inadvertedly becomes the center of attention. So in that respect, I'm guilty. And the more bored I am, the more I do it. I just couldn't handle the reputation of being "that" kinda girl, no matter how bored I was. That's the one thing I will probably forever be awkward about...but unless you boys know otherwise, no worries....I haven't found chicks online that are whores AND better at games than you. XD Speaking of games and weaving this in with the topic of boredom...because of games, I only get bored VERY rarely. It's a nice way to live. |

Haha! Talking about being gamer girls and kicking ass, I recall that by pure coincidence the relationship with my first girlfriend went downhill on the same day I had finally beaten her in a game she'd been regularly kicking my ass in. While I doubt that would be grounds for things going sour, considering her personality, I wouldn't doubt it all that much. She never wanted to play games with me after that.
And on the subject of getting bored... something about martial arts made me stop getting bored. Like, ever. Also, I blame martial arts for my current level of skill at video games. Between ki-breathing and complete focus, it's not exactly surprising that I've managed to make my hands hurt and start shaking from exhaustion. Also, geez, Kat. Your arrogance and confidence never fails to amuse me. Of course I'd vouch for you, but do you have to sling my name around like a pickaxe in a goldmine? |

I think you even asked me to marry you once, Bitmap... though I think it was over music instead of gaming... I forget, but it's around here somewhere.
Anywho, yeah it's fun to be a girl gamer. Even when you are not a supermodel you are highly sought after--especially when you play D&D and other tabletop RPGs (apparently we are the rarer breed). It's actually kinda odd to me because for so long I knew a lot of girls like me, and then coming here the only female gamer I've met only plays because her husband got her into it. I remember my first convention when I was still in high school. I think at the time that my friend Courtney and I were two of maybe ten females in the entire building. It's gotten a lot better now (women like LARP apparently). Video games always seemed to have more female gamers, though the guys never really believed it. I remember playing PSO and having some guy demand that I send him photos to prove I was a girl... I never did, but it was funny. |

I guess it would've depended on how you grew up. Girls who aren't gamers can be really mean to girls who are, especially if the gamer girls don't talk much about "girly" things. Hell, due to that most of the gamer girls I know openly tell me that they hate other girls. Even if I'm not a girl, I still lucked out slightly, because I grew up barely past the age where nerdiness was bullied openly. I mean, I was still bullied ever-so-slightly, but it was extremely infrequent.
I guess the martial arts helped that, too, though. Who knows? Either way, knowing a lot of that kind of inspired me to be more welcoming to people in general, since those nerds who're completely and utterly socially awkward typically haven't had a role model to show 'em what's proper. It's kind of tragic, and I don't like seeing people be as awkward or more awkward than I was when I was younger. So, if I ever mention that I raise children, it's basically that: "Big Brother" stuff. |

Just made chicken fettuccine alfredo for breakfast, because I was bored.
Not sure whether we should go recycling or to the library now. I've been looking up way too much stuff on Tangled for my own good. EDIT: I just noticed my post count is 7638, Bitmap's is 7438, and Elara's is 7038. Heh. (Last edited by Rogue on 09-12-11 05:24 PM) |

How the hell did alfredo tip you off to that? Are we that obvious?!
... I mean... No, no we are not. What a crazy notion. You're crazy, Xeo. *nods* Interestingly enough, I was looking for a good recipe for alfredo sauce just yesterday... probably will not use it for a bit, but between Pat and my friend Chris giving me the ability to figure out how to use Pat's suggestion, I now have a good idea of what I will be doing. Though first I am going to try the harvest pumpkin pasta sauce I got from work that sounds super awesome. The post counts would be cooler if I had 7238, but I'm gaining regardless. |

In a way it's sort of funny. The difference between he and me was 200 posts. 400 between you two, and 600 between us.
OK, I'm nerding out. I'm definitely bored. Like when I used to take a random number and do factor trees. |

Yeah, regarding the fettuccine alfredo, I had left over garlic alfredo sauce from when I made that pizza last week. Just picked up an 80-cent box of noodles at the market a few days ago, pan fried-up some chicken with rosemary and olive oil and put it all together in a big sauce pan. The alfredo sauce needed salt.
MUST... LEAVE... THE... HOUSE. |

Originally posted by Rogue Haha. I nerd out when I'm bored...but it's highly entertaining to nerd out...which brings me to the conundrum of rarely being bored. Lmao. But when I am, I like...die. Seriously. Right now though, the only thing that's killing me is that hour I have to spend three days a week in my math course. Seriously. This lady CAN'T speak english. Which I have patience for. Had a teacher like that, but he was still hella good at teaching math, if you just stfu and listened, and he was easy to approach outside of class to get help. THIS lady, can't teach math for the life of her. AND no one can hear her. She speaks too softly....and it's just REALLY boring to sit there, get the work done, and either wait for help or to move on because she's too busy trying to control the class, which in turn erupts into a bit of chaos because they can't hear her and they're trying to get the work done. Like...I don't think I've ever been in a classroom where chaos erupted BECAUSE they care about understanding the work. /rant...but the boredom in that class is mind blowing. |

I went pants shopping with Brandon last night and today. He got some money from my dad for getting my dad's vending machines listed online and sold. We literally drove to two Wal*Marts last night before ending up at Target where he finally got a pair of jeans he liked.
We ended up going to ANOTHER Target today so he could get another pair with the coupon he got with his receipt. And then I've been hovering around the board all day. |
