I started filling this meme out while I was at work and on the verge of falling asleep. I occasionally come back to it, PMing it to myself when I don't feel like finishing it, or can't. Since I'm kinda bored right now (and beat up from a recent trip), here's the finished survey (hopefully).

1. What time did you get up this morning?
- Didn't sleep last night. Was driving since midnight and napped a little here and there, but overall was on the road as the sun rose.

2. How do you like your steak?
- Medium rare.

3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
- I think the last movie I paid the first-run price for was True Grit back in December. Since then I saw No Strings Attached in the cheap theater.

4. What is your favorite TV show?
- As always, I will only answer for shows currently on the air (since my list of shows already off is SOOOOO long): Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, House M.D., and Mythbusters.

5. If you could live anywhere in the world where would it be?
- In a museum-like villa in Greece with a view of the Mediterranean. London would be my second choice.

6. What did you have for breakfast?
- A Bolivian empanada and Vietnamese iced coffee, gotta love international food festivals.

7. What is your favorite cuisine?
- Greek food, followed by Chinese.

8. What foods do you dislike?
- The usual stuff is Indian food and pickles, but I think I'm REALLY hating salmon patties these days.

9. Favorite Place to Eat?
- Arizona. It seems like all of the really good eating is over there, be it Chinese-Mexican food, hamburgers served by scantily-dressed nurses, or tacos on Native American fry bread.

10. Favorite dressing?
- Creamy Caesar.

11.What kind of vehicle do you drive?
- Whenever it gets put in my name, a white Volvo.

12. What are your favorite clothes?
- Renaissance faire garb. If we could dress like that all the time, I totally would.

13. Where would you visit if you had the chance?
- I'd do a sea voyage of the Mediterranean stopping in Egypt, Turkey, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Morocco, the south of France, going through Gibraltar, and sailing up to London. <3

14. Cup 1/2 empty or 1/2 full?
- Depends on what it is, I guess, but honestly, why can't the cup just BE? While I'm pessimistic usually (more cynical, really), I have never uttered that something was "half empty" ever.

15. Where would you want to retire?
- See #5.

16. Favorite time of day?
- Early afternoon. Most things are open and the day could go ANYWHERE.

17. Where were you born?
- West Covina, California. I have lived in Los Angeles county all my life.

18. What is your favorite sport to watch?
- It used to be baseball.

19. Who is your favorite superhero?
- I have MANY, but it's Rogue above all others.

20. What is the furthest you have walked?
- I really don't know. I've spent days walking cities and hiking. This past weekend was FULL of walking around San Francisco. The longest hike I can remember right now was probably 8 miles long with a lot of uphill walking.

21. Have you ever won a contest?
- A few art ones in elementary school. A few months back I won a comic book trivia contest naming off the members of the Endless.

22. Bird watcher?
- Not specifically. I'll stop and look at them during hikes, though.

23. Are you a morning person or a night person?
- Both and neither at the same time.

24. Do you have any pets?
- Two cats: Miko and Tiki. Tiki apparently caught a bird this morning.

25. Any new and exciting news you’d like to share?
- I'd rather not jinx it.

26. What did you want to be when you were little?
- A marine biologist. Got accepted into university specifically for it, originally.

27. What is your best childhood memory?
- REALLY hard to choose. I suppose traveling with my parents a lot.

28. Are you a cat or dog person?
- Both, but more cats these days due to convenience.

29. Are you married?
- Nope.

30. Always wear your seat belt?
- Yep.

31. Been in a car accident?
- A few. Only one involved our car being totaled.

32. Any pet peeves?
- Several. I have little, old lady nerves, but I think my biggest annoyance is when people talk or make noises during a movie.

33. Favorite Pizza Toppings?
- Sausage, crispy pepperoni, and mushroom. I've developed a hobbit-like obsession for fungi.

34. Favorite Flower?
- Lavender for the smell and baking with it. Hibiscus for sentimental reasons.

35. Favorite ice cream?
- Honey lavender.

36. Favorite fast food restaurant?
- I really don't know. I don't love mainstream fast food places. Maybe Popeye's because the mashed potatoes have this addictive gravy and you can get all sorts of savory things.

37. How many times did you fail your driver’s test?
- Failed the permit a couple times since I did it without reading the manual. Never failed behind-the-wheel.

38. From whom did you get your last email?
- This rep from Wizard World about an upcoming convention.

39. Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?
- Hmm, probably this Native American-owned shop in Sedona. It's full of furs, beads, leathers, and so on that would make AMAZING Renaissance faire and other period pieces. If I had a credit card and didn't care about maxing it, I'd dump all that money on vendors at Comic-Con.

40. Do anything spontaneous lately?
- Constantly.

41. Like your job?
- I'm interning right now. It's BORING.

42. Broccoli?
- I'd love a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup right now.

43. What was your favorite vacation?
- Too many I loved. I think my most recent one in Arizona where we spent two days at an Old West steampunk convention in a ghost town and another day at a wonderful Renaissance faire, all in costumes, was quite spectacular. We'll see if we can beat it.

44. Last person you went out to dinner with?
- Lee and Kate. Ate at this Mexican place in the Castro (the gayest place on earth) that had several drag queens chowing down on burritos.

45. What are you listening to right now?
- House is on the tube.

46. What is your favorite color?
- Process magenta, magentaish-purplish colors in general, and green.

47. How many tattoos do you have?
- None yet.

48. Who was your last phone call from?
- My Asian American film professor. She wanted to know if I taped Sung Kang speaking today in class.

49. Do you know anyone who's spent time in prison?
- Several. It's classified.

50. Coffee Drinker?
- Incredibly so.

I'm a bit bored and don't feel like going back to working on this newsletter. Started this survey last week and left the tab open. The newsletter is DONE... for now. It's being looked over.

1* First grade teacher's name: Mrs. Frias, I think that's how it was spelled.

2* Last word you said: ... said? (As in asking Brandon, "What was the last thing I said?")

3* Last song you sang: "Home." That f-ing song is stuck in my head.

4* Last person you hugged: Brandon

5* Last thing you laughed at: Something on TV.

6* Last time you said I dont remember: ... Very funny.

7* Last time you cried: Either yesterday or the day before.

8* Last time you hurt yourself: Had a TV fall on my knee a few days ago? But then again, does a wisdom tooth causing all sorts of pain count?

9* What color socks are you wearing: Not wearing any.

10* What's under your bed: Dirty clothes, empty bottles, and a voracious black hole, I'm assuming.

11* What time did you wake up today: Around 6:30 a.m.

12* Current taste: KFC grilled chicken and Diet Coke.

13* Current hair: It's down, unbrushed.

14* Current obsession: Oh jeez. This could take hours, especially if we're talking fandom. Well, the short of it, then: finding a job, conventions, and pirate metal.

15* Current annoyance: Again, this could take a while. The short: teenage girls (or at least women who still act like them), posers, and people being disruptive during movies. The most recent annoyance has been being surrounded by people who are in some way disparaging (ex: friend who has been unemployed for years telling me I should come to her for help with my resume, which she picked up and looked over before making said comment, etc).

16* Current ringtone: My default is the beginning part of "I'm Shipping Up to Boston" by Dropkick Murphys. Brandon, some friends and family have the last chorus to Metallica's "Judas Kiss."

17* Current desktop background: I have a revolving set of desktop images. Right now it's an old photo of Anna May Wong dancing.

18* Current worry: Finishing this 40-page newsletter is also pretty nerve-racking right now.

19* Current hate: The job search. See also #15.

20* Current favorite article of clothing: Renaissance faire garb, I suppose.

21* Favorite physical feature of the preferred sex: Eyes.

22* Last CD that you listened to: Best of Santana, or something. I felt like celebrating something so I cranked "Smooth."

FAVORITES
23* Favorite place to be: A convention. After which, I'd say either San Francisco or Arizona.

24* Least favorite place: Home, but only because I'm so utterly bored when I'm here.

25* Time you wake up in the morning: I guess I like waking up early.

26* If you could play an instrument: Guitar.

27* Favorite color: Process magenta, green, and purple.

28* Do you believe in an afterlife: And this is under "Favorites" because... ? I'm agnostic, I don't know.

29* How tall are you: Again, "Favorites"? 5'6".

30* Current favorite word/saying: "Motherfucker." I've definitely been saying it A LOT lately.

31* Favorite book: Three-way tie between American Gods, Brave New World, and Watchmen.

32* Favorite season: Autumn.

33* One person from the past you wish you could go back and talk to: My grandfather. I would love to sit down and record his life story and ask him to teach me so many things.

36* What is your career going to be like: I wish I knew.

37* How many kids do you want: If I have any, I only want one. Maybe two. No more than that.

38* Favorite holiday: Dia de los Muertos and Free Comic Book Day.

*HAVE YOU EVER...*
39* Said "I love you" and meant it: Yes.

40* Gotten in a fight with your dog/cat/bird/fish: Like a verbal argument? Or some sort of physical altercation? Either way, no.

41* Been to New York: Not yet.

42* Been to Florida: Yes.

43* Been to California: ... LOL.

44* Been to Hawaii: A few times.

45* Been to Mexico: A few more times.

46* Been to China: Nope.

47* Seen a Shakespeare play performed on stage: Many times.

48* Dreamed something really crazy and then it happened the next day: I've had things that I've dreaded happen, but I didn't dream them the night before.

49* Had a crush on a fictitious character: Oh god, yes.

50* Woken up in a place you don't remember falling asleep in: Maybe dozing off in the library or something, sure.

51* Had sex with someone whose name you don't recall: No.

52* Do you have a crush on someone: If fictitious characters counted, then yes. Otherwise no.

53* What book are you reading now?: A graphic novel called "Strange Tales."

54* Have you traveled much this year?: I'm about to head up to San Francisco for the fifth time this year. I've also been down to San Diego for a convention and Arizona for a steampunk con and a visit to the Renaissance faire.

55* What is the first thing you think when you wake in the morning?: Lately it's been, "Oh fuck it's 7? Gotta work on that fucking newsletter."

56* How many rings before you answer: I'm not sure any more since it's playing music now. See #16.

57* Future daughter's name: I don't know.

58* Future son's name: Really.. I don't know.

59* Do you sleep with a stuffed animal: Does Brandon count? He's soft and fuzzy.

*THE EXTRA STUFF*
60* The furthest you have traveled: France.

61* Wish were here: As in who do I wish was here? My grandfather. Didn't I answer this already?

65* Do you drink: Yes, but rarely to excess.

66* What color are the walls in your room?: Magenta-purple. The paint color was named "Exotic bloom."

69* What clothes do you sleep in: T-shirt and pajama bottoms.

70* Who is the last person that called you: *Checks phone* Bernie.

71* Where do you want to get married: No clue, not planning on doing that for a while if ever.

72* If you could change anything about yourself what would that be: Weight, primarily.

73* Who do you really hate: Right now, my aunt.

74* Been In Love: Yeah.

75* Are you timely or always late: Almost always early.

76* Do you have a job: A few. None of them pay well.

77* Do you like being around people: Depends. Not very comfortable around strangers most of the time.

78* Best feeling in the world: Hard to decide. Love? Accomplishment?

79* Are you for world peace: Who the hell isn't? Warlords and gunmakers, I suppose.

80* Are you a health freak: Heh, nope.

81* Who is your favorite author?: It's between Mark Twain and Neil Gaiman.

82* Do you want someone you don't have?: And we're back to referencing fictitious characters.

83* Are you lonely right now: Not particularly. Brandon's right here.

84* Ever afraid you'll never get married: More afraid that I might.

85* Do you want to get married: Not really.

86* Do you want kids?: ALSO "not really."

92* Wanted To Tell Someone You Loved them: Sure. And I did. See previous question.

93* Met Someone: In the last two days, I don't think so. I mean, unless you count all of the faceless people I've never actually met, but had to get elbowed by as they pass at Costco, Trader Joe's, and the library.

94* Moved On: In a sense, yes. I finally finished that damned newsletter.

95* Talked To Someone: Yes...

96* Had A Serious Talk: Yeah.

97* Missed Someone: Yeah, the old me.

98* Hugged Someone: Yes.

99* Yelled at Someone: Not really.

100* Dreamed About Someone You Can't Be With: Who the hell wrote this meme... some teenaged drama queen with a crush on her "best friend's" boyfriend or something?

While I wait for one friend who's waiting for her uncle and another friend to get done running errands, I'mma fill this out.

1. ONE OF YOUR SCARS, HOW DID YOU GET IT?
- Scar on my right knee. Fell on an escalator on my way to a university class, went to the health center, where my knee needed 8 stitches. I couldn't bend my knee for two weeks, during which time I went on a road trip to Arizona, went to two Renaissance faires, a comic book convention, and another celebrating The Big Lebowski.

2. WHAT IS ON THE WALLS IN YOUR BEDROOM?
- Sigh... a carved, Indonesian wooden panel, two brass rubbings of people's grave markers from the English Dark Ages, two paintings of tall ships, a print pinned to the wall of a painting someone did of Frida Kahlo being raped by a skeleton, two Indonesian masks, a gilded mirror with peacock feathers and other things on it, below that is a shelf (with my tankards, a sperm whale tooth done up with scrimshaw, pewter pins, etc), a couple of horseshoes bent to be coathangers (and on those are jackets, scarves, a fox tail, and my bandannas), a series of IKEA shelves for my DVDs and VHS tapes, and an antique bedwarmer from the actual Chicken Ranch (the "best little whorehouse in Texas" of history).

3. WHAT DOES YOUR MOBILE PHONE LOOK LIKE?
- It's black and blue. Says LG and Verizon on it. I've got a picture of a painting of a cowgirl skeleton holding a gun as the front wallpaper, and a paper mache skeleton with a Tree of Life (picture I took at a Day of the Dead festival in Hollywood) as the wallpaper inside.

4. WHAT MUSIC DO YOU LISTEN TO?
- Hard to say. I listen to just about anything if it strikes my fancy.

5. DO YOU KNOW WHAT TIME YOU WERE BORN?
- Around 5 in the evening.

6. WHAT DO YOU WANT MORE THAN ANYTHING RIGHT NOW?
- To be completely healthy.

7. WHO DO YOU MISS?
- A few people, I guess. Christina is at the top since I haven't seen her in months.

8. IS ANYONE IN LOVE WITH YOUR OR HAS A CRUSH ON YOU?
- I suppose.

9. WHO WAS THE LAST PERSON YOU KISSED?
- Brandon.

10. WHAT’S YOUR MIDDLE NAME?
- Marie.

11. THE BEST TV SHOW EVER CREATED:
- It's between Mythbusters and Boardwalk Empire, as far as I'm concerned. I have other favorite shows, but these are pretty landmark.

12. THE LAST PERSON YOU TALKED TO?
- Brandon, by default, since he lives in my room.

13. DO YOU GET SCARED IN THE DARK?
- Yes.

14. THE LAST PERSON TO MAKE YOU CRY?
- An amateur writer who wrote a rather sweet, romantic story.

15. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE COLOGNE / PERFUME?
- I do not know. Raspberry vanilla, I suppose.

16. WHAT KIND OF HAIR/EYE COLOUR DO YOU LIKE ON THE OPPOSITE SEX?
- Dark hair, hazel eyes.

17. WOULD YOU RATHER BE SMART OR FUNNY?
- I've always been closer to the first, and never the latter. I sort of wonder what it would be like to actually be funny.

18. COFFEE OR ENERGY DRINKS?
- Coffee.

19. WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE PIZZA TOPPING?
- Mushrooms.

20. IF YOU CAN EAT ANYTHING RIGHT NOW, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

29. WHAT’S YOUR FAVOURITE KIND OF EXERCISE?
- Hiking.

30. WOULD YOU FALL IN LOVE KNOWING THAT THE PERSON IS LEAVING?
- I've had long distance relationships before if this is what it's about. If this is about the other person ending the relationship, I don't know. The heart is a tricky thing.

31. WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO TELL SOMEONE HOW MUCH THEY MEAN TO YOU?
- It all depends on the person you're making the gesture of undying love for. As far as I know the best way would be to make a life-altering decision that means a lot to them (giving up drugs, etc), or at least making an effort to show you are in tune to their wants and needs (taking them on a trip to some place they've always dreamed of going to, moving with them when they get their dream job, etc).

46. HOW MANY KIDS DO YOU WANT?

54. WHAT IS YOUR MOST EMBARRASSING CD ON THE SHELF?
- Hmm, I don't have a shelf for CDs any longer, but I guess the most embarrassing CD I own would be Ricky Martin or something in the same vein. Don't know where those CDs are, though.

55. IF YOU WERE ANOTHER PERSON, WOULD YOU BE FRIENDS WITH YOU?
- Sure, but I wouldn't get too close.

56. HAVE YOU EVER TOLD A SECRET YOU SWORE NOT TO TELL?
- Nothing that I've SWORN, no. I have, however, spoken of secret issues with others before.

94. ARE YOU TOO SHY TO ASK SOMEONE OUT?
- Yes and no. I've approached guys before, but I still consider myself shy. Then again, I've been with the same guy for 7 years. I don't know if I'd be back in the game right away if it ended.

95. SUMMER OR WINTER?
- Winter.

OK, this is my second go at answering this survey. It seems like the person who posted this on the site on which I'd found it combined three surveys into one and there are a few duplicate-ish questions.

Do you hate more than 3 people?
- If people on reality shows count, then yes. Otherwise, doubtful.

What is your favorite candy bar?
- Milky Way.

What are your favorite shoes?
- My mid-calf boots that look like they came out of the 1800s (well, except for the fact that they have a zipper).

Have you ever tripped someone?
- Not intentionally.

Do you own a Britney Spears CD?
- That first one she did that had "Baby One More Time" on it and she was doing that fake virgin Catholic school girl act. This was before downloading music, and I was wondering what the hype was all about. I'm not sure what happened to it, but I know I didn't have it long.

Have you ever thrown up in public?
- I don't think so. I almost did at that Oktoberfest in South Bay after drinking this REALLY yeasty local-brewed beer. Felt like bread rising in my stomach.

What is your favorite music genre?
- Probably Celtic rock/punk.

What is your sign?
- Capricorn.

What time were you born?
- Around 5 or 6 p.m.

Do you like beer?
- Not really these days. I'd take cider over bitters any day.

Have you ever made a prank call?
- I used to call 800 numbers from payphones when I was bored, seeing what dirty words I could spell out with the numbers. I'd call something like 1-800-55-SLUTS or 1-800-BOY-COCK and see if it connected. If I got a machine, I left a message informing them of their number's unfortunate spelling.

I think I got a person once. After he said the name of the business I said something like, "Do you know your number is 1-800-HOT-CUNT?" and hung up. Before I did, though, I think I remember him acknowledging that he was aware of it.

What is the most embarrassing CD you own?
- I'm not embarrassed by any of my CDs, but I guess any of the Ricky Martin ones.

Are you sarcastic?
- No, not at all.

What are your favorite colors?
- Deep magentas and purples, earthy greens, and black.

How many watches do you own?
- None.

Summer or winter?
- Winter.

Spring or fall?
- Both? Maybe fall a little more.

What is your favorite color to wear?
- Black, I suppose.

Pepsi or Sprite?
- Sprite.

What color is your cell phone?
- Navy blue, black, and silver.

Have you ever slapped someone?
- Yep.

Have you ever had a cavity?
- Yep.

How many lamps are in your bedroom?
- Two.

How many video games do you own?
- My own personal collection: three (God of War 2, Shadow of the Colossus, and Final Fantasy XII)

What was your first pet?
- A silky terrier named Teddy. My mom had him before she even got with my dad.

Have you ever had braces?
- Nope.

Do looks matter?
- If they do, I'm in trouble.

Do you use Chapstick?
- No.

Name 3 teachers from your high school:
- Mr. McCabe (senior anatomy), Mr. Jacobsma (AP government and various history classes), and Dr. Evans (Spanish 2, now deceased).

American Eagle or Abercrombie?
- Neither.

Are you too forgiving?
- Depends. Most of the time, yes, but I have been known to hold grudges.

Do you own something from Hot Topic?
- A couple old trench coats.

What is your favorite breakfast?
- Chicken fried steak and biscuits with gravy.

Do you own a gun?
- None yet.

When was the last time you cried?
- Shed a few tears reading a story a few days ago.

What did you do 3 nights ago?
- Went to a James Bond theme costume party. I'd bought a lab coat and took my old badge from Kaiser Permanente and put "NO" as my last name. Brandon was a bit more on the nose, having a VHS cassette of Tomorrow Never Dies taped to his shirt.

UPDATE: Since I've taken forever writing this post out, this answer is now out-dated. Three nights ago I was eating what came out to a $30 seared ahi on pickled bok-choy.

When was the last time you went to Olive Garden?
- I think I was either 2 or 3. I have no memory of eating, but rather memory of going and later my mom angrily walking home with me (while my dad and grandpa stayed to finish dinner) because I apparently was throwing rolls at some girl at another table. I remember only caring about going home to watch Temple of Doom.

Have you ever called your teacher mom?
- Maybe in kindergarten, by mistake, out of a force of habit when speaking to an older woman.

Have you ever been in a castle?
- Windsor Castle in England and Sleeping Beauty's castle in Disneyland.

What are your nicknames?
- Rogue, Geek Pimptress, and E-Ten or E-Teen (Lee and Bernie call me either of those for some reason).

Do you know anyone named Bertha?
- Shockingly no.

Have you ever been to Hawaii?
- Several times.

Do you own something from Banana Republic?
- No.

Are you happy with your life right now?
- Right now, not entirely. I'm too bored and lazy and fat right now.

Does anyone like you?
- I should hope so.

What were you doing May of 1994?
- Finishing up third grade in Catholic school, and perhaps getting ready to leave it and head to public school.

McDonald's or Wendy's?
- McDonald's, probably. While I acknowledge that Wendy's nuggets are better, I still prefer the McNugget for its nostalgia.

Do you like yourself?
- I like aspects of me, but overall, not really.

Favorite feature of the opposite sex?
- The ability to make me smile no matter what.

Are you afraid of the dark?
- Yes.

Have you ever eaten paste?
- I don't think so.

Do you have a webcam?
- There's one on the laptop on which I am typing this.

Have you ever stripped?
- Not in a club or anything.

What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
- Captain America.

What are your favorite TV shows?
- Way too many favorite shows, so to cut it down here are the ones I consider favorites that are still on the air: Boardwalk Empire, Mad Men, House M.D., MythBusters, and Hung. Starting to get into Raising Hope on Fox.

What did you have for breakfast?
- Chicken fettuccine alfredo.

UPDATE: Jack in the Box's new breakfast platter. It was crap.

What is your middle name?
- Marie.

What foods do you dislike?
- Pickles and Indian food (more that it dislikes my stomach).

What is your favorite CD at the moment?
- Rocktopus, probably.

Favorite sandwich?
- Ham steak on toasted-in-olive-oil rosemary focaccia bread with melted cheese. Gotta make it yourself. I've never had a sandwich at a restaurant like it.

What are your favorite clothes?
- Renaissance faire garb.

What color is your bathroom?
- Beige, brown, and yellow. Eh.

Favorite brand of clothing?
- Brand? Eh.

Where would you want to retire to?
- Greece, to a museum-like villa overlooking the wine-dark Mediterranean Sea.

Favorite time of day?
- Early afternoon, most of the time. Or early mornings when its foggy and I'm on my way for a trip.

What did you want to be when you were little?
- A marine biologist.

What is your best childhood memory?
- That's tough. I guess taking trips with my parents.

Eye Color?
- Brown.

Ever been toilet papering?

- Uh? Never?

- Nope.

Do you own a pair of Converse?

Now you are not alone!

When Was The Last Tim You:

Went Swimming?
- Uh... 2008, right before venomouslobster left for Texas, since it was his going away party.

Kissed the opposite sex?
- Few minutes ago, but only on the forehead. Haven't had a proper kiss since Monday.

Went skinny dipping?
- Never.

Flirted with someone you don't even like?
- Never. Liked and had no plans to ever go after? Few years ago I think.

Had a person you're not interested in hit on you?
- Few days ago. *shudder*

The sad fact is the question originally read as "had an person your not interesting in hit on you?" ((I left this in for this: LOL! Fail!))

Saw the person your crushin on?
- Few minutes ago... I crush on hockey players... what is wrong with me?

Kicked it wit the person your crushin on?
- I also hate whoever wrote this survey.

And never, since they are professional hockey players and I am a normal person.

Told someone you like them?
- Are we in grade school? Few days ago I told Ben "I love you"

Talked on the phone?
- Yesterday

Tried to add someone on myspace?
- Three or so years ago?

Survey #2. Because that first one was crap, and I have nothing better to do. (leaving this)

Wow. Was the last time I filled one of these out really 2012? Fuck.

Well, here goes.

Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, and find line 4.
- Page 18 doesn't have four lines on it. It just has a dialogue bubble that reads, "Uncle Gorm."

Stretch your left arm out as far as you can, What can you touch?
- The blue, wooden skeleton wind chime hanging from the curtain rod.

Before you started this survey, what were you doing?
- Looking at Facebook and watching "Selena" on cable. Trying to relax and unwind after walking around the Huntington all day for Shakespeare Day and getting a bit sunburnt.

What is the last thing you watched on TV?
- Still watching "Selena."

Without looking, guess what time it is
- 8:20? *Looks up* It's 8:11. Should I make something for dinner? Nah, I think I'll just throw in a bag of microwave popcorn.

Now look at the clock. What is the actual time?
- Ugh.. see answer to previous question.

With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?
- "Selena" on TV.

When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
- Was at the Huntington, for Shakespeare Day. Watched people have sword fights, nobles dance, and of course people reciting Shakespeare. Smelled flowers, drank tea, and walked around the gardens. Then the car started acting up. Yay...

Did you dream last night?
- I did. But I don't remember much of it.

Do you remember your dreams?
- Hah. Occasionally.

When did you last laugh?
- At that last question just now.

Do you remember why / at what?
- Yes, I remember, and again it was at that last question.

What is on the walls of the room you are in?
- OK. Let's see. There's a few racks of DVDs bolted to that wall and a window with curtains that have an Indian design. Then there's our flatscreen attached to the one over there, with an antique bedwarmer, and a couple bent horse shoes we've got as coat racks. There's things like my UNIT vest, faire bodicem axe-throwing target, and a brass rubbing hanging on them. On another wall I've got a shelf with random things like whale scrimshaw and Chinese sculptures, votive candles, and tiki mugs. Above that is a golden mirror with a Turkish knife sitting on it and peacock feathers stuck in the frames. Another wall has a painting of a ship, two Indonesian masks, and a medieval grave brass rubbing I did when I was 12. Last wall has another ship painting and a signed print of a painting I got at a Dia de los Muertos festival of Frida Kahlo having sex with a skeleton, called "La Chingada."

Seen anything weird lately?
- Define weird, I guess. My life is usually on the bizarre side.

If you could change one thing about the world, regardless of guilt or politics, what would you do?
- I guess I'd be an asshole if I didn't say something like "world peace" or "end world hunger," but I'm going to say that wish humans could fly. At the very least, there'd be a lot less pollution from cars and planes.

Do you like to dance?

Brandon's hosting people downstairs with the external hard drive. Poo...

Someone posted this as a note on Facebook earlier. Just going to go ahead and post it here.

Name something that relaxes you.
- Sitting in a big, comfy chair, reading a book, with the smell of coffee filling the room.

There are other things, I'm sure, but that was the first thought that came to mind.

Post a picture that makes you feel good about yourself.
I'm assuming this wants me to post a picture of myself and not, say, a photo of a puppy or something.

All right..

Here's the most recent picture of me, taken a week and a half ago:

What is some of your favorite music?
- Celtic rock, sea shanties, thrash metal, sometimes I just listen to ambient noise videos of rain or a coffeehouse and play another video at the same time of instrumental jazz or blues guitar.

List your three favorite scents.
- Coffee, rose tea, and a tie between woods and leather. There's a Native American trading post in Arizona I love that smells of herbs, leathers, and wood. Whenever I buy blankets from them, I go forever without washing them because I don't want to lose that smell.

How do you ground yourself or recharge?
- Hang around at home. Ideally doing the stuff in answer to the first question.

Any ways you treat or spoil yourself?
- After work, I sometimes hit up Whole Foods or CostPlus World Market. Both are places I've been known to drop massive chunks of paychecks without regret.

Do you have a creative past-time?
- I wish I could say writing, but I've had writer's block practically since birth. I can come up with ideas and never write them down or come up with a good ending. I edit photos for this little ongoing project I do about trying new things.

What helps you fall asleep?
- I have trouble falling asleep in total silence. I need the TV on, with something comforting like a show or movie I know really well. I can't sleep if someone is snoring, although I can sleep through snoring if they go to sleep after I do. This means I always have to go to bed before Brandon does.

Favorite beverages?
- Rose tea or Earl Grey Creme with cream and sugar, warm apple cider in the fall, Tahitian vanilla mead, mint and lavender lemonade, and sipping chocolate in Little Tokyo. Iced coffee too, depending on who makes it.

Have you ever received a letter or written one to someone else?
- Many, but none lately.

What makes you feel powerful, what breathes life into you?
- I'm not sure what accomplishes both empowering and breathing life into one. Orgasms? Employment?

Comfort food?
- Bread and cheese, Tim Tam slams, mashed potatoes (especially Popeye's), sausage gravy slathered on home fries, and ramen with chashu as big and thick as a pork chop.

What's your favorite thing to do at night?
- Depends on if I've got anything planned and what time of year it is. In the summer, my favorite thing is seeing a performance of Shakespeare in the park, eating bread and cheese, drinking bellinis and cider, and listening to the occasional yelping coyotes. Any other time of year, getting to go out for ramen is perhaps my favorite thing to do at night. I'm not much of a night person these days unless I'm out of town.

If you could go back to any three eras what would they be?
- I know we romanticize the fuck out of the past and all previous eras have their share of negative shit no one wants to live through (plagues, bigotry, extreme sexism, torture, wars, occupations with high mortality rates, lack of sanitation, etc), but if we go with the idealized, anachronistic versions we've come to embrace, sure I guess I would live in the late Victorian/Edwardian period when I could have (in the highly unlikely chance) met Mark Twain. My next choice would probably be Feudal Japan, particularly how it's shown in "Usagi Yojimbo," except with humans in place of the animals. Lastly, the 1990s. Yes. I miss that time of progress, prosperity, and believing that you could be anything. And field trips! The glorious field trips!

Your favorite things to wear?
- Renaissance faire garb, particularly while at a faire.

If you could be immortal or have an extremely long life span what would you pick and why?
- If those are the options, I don't fully understand the purpose of living the really long life that eventually means dying. It also depends on whether or not the immortality comes with looking young forever or if it turns into that Greek myth where I become so old and shriveled I just end up as a grasshopper.

Name something positive you have done for yourself or someone else in the last two weeks.
- Bought a friend a load of meat from Whole Foods since she mentioned to me over the phone that all she and her daughter had to eat was rice over the coming week 'til she gets paid. Both are heavily allergic to different foods and she has Celiac disease.

If you had to come up with ten words to describe your life story so far, what would they be?
- "Wow. What the hell did everything go so horribly wrong?"

One thing you like about your appearance?
- I'm not fishing for compliments when I say I have difficulty finding anything I like in my appearance.

Something that makes you feel better after a hard day?
- These days, killing time walking around stores like Whole Foods and Cost Plus World Market. Having "date night" whenever we get the chance and looking forward to fun things on the horizon are also high on my list of things help me get through weeks at work that slog.

If you have one, name a favorite book or poem.
- I have a few favorite books: "Geek Love," "The Diaries of Adam and Eve," "American Gods," and "Brave New World," among others.

Do you look forward to the spring?
- Who doesn't?

Which area of the sciences do you enjoy the most?
- I've always been into marine biology.

If you could own a classical statue in the form of any figure from myth, religion, or even modern fiction, who would you choose?
- This is a rather random question, but yeah, I suppose I'd want a marble statue of Hades and Persephone, particularly once she takes her place as the rightful queen of the Underworld. People mostly ever display her abduction, which seems more of a Roman thing since they're titled things like "The Rape of Proserpina." Following the Greek tradition (especially since worship of Persephone and Demeter actually predates Greece and the rest of its gods), under her mother she was simply Kore (which pretty much translates to "little girl.") But with Hades she was able to expand to her full potential of power, becoming Persephone, whose name loosely translates to "Bringer of Destruction."

Do you have a good relationship with your mother?
- I'd say so, even if we argue a lot. We carpool to work together.

What is your favourite mythological story?
- I always revert back to Greek whenever people want to talk myth, so it's probably the story of Cupid and Psyche. Just the idea of the god of love falling in love himself and there are so many variations on the story.

If you put on a big feast, what would you serve?
- Lots and lots of roasted meats.

How do you have fun? (What is your favourite 'Earthly Delight'?)
- Going to new places and trying new things. Getting out of the house.

Do you often look for hidden messages and meanings?
- As an introvert that's sometimes all I do and fixate on them.

What was your favourite game as a child?
- One group standing on one side of the playground and another group on the other side and we'd just kick a couple balls back and forth to see how high and far we could get them. I was always the only girl.

Have you ever received an award or special position?
- Sure, several when I was in school.

If a revolution was about to happen in your country, would you be part of it?
- Depends on why.

Have you ever planned an act of revenge?
- I want to say no? But I'm not sure. I have done things to be vindictive, but they wouldn't quite be classified as revenge or required any planning.

Is your life moving too slowly or too fast?
- I'm more inclined to say slow, but I don't think I could take faster at the moment.

Do you prefer to stay in the shade?
- Who doesn't? Skin cancer is not cute.

If you could have any mural on your ceiling, what would it look like?
- I suppose it would be of a giant squid and a sperm whale fighting, but now this gives me an idea to hang pictures or something.

Do you enjoy the countryside?
- Yes, very much, especially in the fall when we venture out for apple everything and to see actual foliage.

Are you a romantic?
- Secretly yes, but I'm terrible at putting it in practice and feel easily embarrassed.

What is your favourite historic subject?
- Difficult to chose just one subject and my interests are always in flux. Seems like I keep coming back to the Renaissance, particularly the last half of Elizabeth I's reign and beginning of James I's. I've also always been into the Old West.

Do you prefer landscape paintings?
- Not really.

Are you interested in social issues?
- Yes, but I'm rather disinclined to discuss them.

15. How late did you stay up last night and why?
- 1 AM. I turned in early, because I was tired.

16. If you could move somewhere else, where would it be?
- Probably Portland, Oregon. Beautiful weather, awesome people, and the perfect atmosphere.

17. Ever been kissed under fireworks?
- I don't really know.

18. Do you believe exes can be friends?
- If they can't, I'm wondering what me and two of my exes are right now, because we're certainly not together lol. Anyone can be friends. It just takes a respect of each others space, and interest in each others well being.

19. How do you feel about Dr Pepper?
- It sucks.

20. Who took your profile picture?
- I did.

21. Was yesterday better than today?
- Yesterday, I had intestinal issues, almost got knocked out, and was exhausted like 2 hours before I normally would be. Today I failed a pre-calc quiz, and had dozens of people staring at the bruise on my face. I'm not sure. Coin flip.

22. Can you live a day without TV?
- I might watch TV 40 days out of an entire year.

23. Are you upset about anything?
- Not that I can recall.

24. Night out or night in?
- Honestly depends if I'm paying for it. If so, I'll take a night in, since a pizza is far cheaper than dinner, a movie, and like two hours of shopping. If not, I'll go out, because I prefer being outside.

25. What items could you not go without during the day?
- My glasses. If I have those I'm good.

26. Who was the last person you visited in the hospital?
- I haven't been in a hospital since I was like 16. For me.

27. What does the last text message in your inbox say?
- "same lol"

28. How do you feel about your life right now?
- I think I'm going the right way.

29. Do you hate anyone?
- No. It's better to just live life without holding grudges, anger, or resentment. I just live the best I can, and hope life sorts people out, and gives them what they all deserve.

30. If we were to look in your inbox what would we find?
- In my mail, a zillion notifications from Humble and Amazon, and from my school. If my facebook... depends how far back you go. The further back you go, the more cringey flirting you find.

31. Has anyone ever called you perfect?
- Yeah, and it still bugs me to this day.

32. Someone knocks on your window at 2:00 a.m., who do you want it to be?
- Santa Claus.

33. Name something you have to do tomorrow.
- Wake up.

34. Do you think too much or too little?
- Too much. My mind goes a mile a second, and I'm usually exhausted by the end of the day, even if all I do is sit down and relax.

35. Do you laugh a lot?
- Pretty much all I do.
