Sorry to hear about your grandmother, Katana. 
Yes, I know what it's like to have a person completely dependent on you for their care, for their meals, their hygienic upkeep, and everything else in between. At the same time, I'm glad you landed employment. I still haven't done that, but then I haven't really been trying. I'll explain... I've been tasked with a few odd jobs over the last month: designing fliers, writing uncredited articles for my mom's church bulletin, work as an extra for a web series shoot, editing Stitch's manuscript, and writing post after post for Geek Armada. Half don't pay (including the extra and GA stuff), the other half are just one-time payments. I'll be inactive this weekend. Going to the Renaissance faire tomorrow and then heading up to San Francisco at night to spend the day there Sunday. I'll be home Monday morning, and with that distraction out of the way, I'll be job-seeking on Tuesday. |

Basically working full time and getting paid part time thanks to strategic use of lunch breaks. 
Plus, school five days a week. It's only one class, but very reading intensive (which I haven't had time to do), and I leave for California in less than a week now so I have that prep to do as well. And the Autism Walk this Saturday, can't forget that. |

Hollywood has no tenuous hold over me, and I've just come to despise the majority of it. The Hollywood attitudes and personalities stand apart from Los Angeles itself. Are you in Cali yet, Elara? Someone has GOT to tell me how the parade was like first hand. I'm living vicariously through you guys... So...Been working a lot. I'm a paralegal now.  I can kick the shit outta some debt and move out asap. I could technically move out now, which is exciting, but hopefully, if I can wait so I can own a car, I'll be able to be pickier about where I move. As of now, I'd have to make sure I was close to public transportation, and most of the affordable places near PT are in shitty neighborhoods...so....
And still going to school. It'll never fucking end. I'm either starting at Temple *Yay Phoenix!* this Fall or Spring. Hopefully this Fall, but I won't be too upset about taking a semester off. I'll just work more is all, save more money.
Typing it out doesn't feel like it's all that much, but I've been working like 70 hour weeks. And then I come home and sleep. Or make fun of people on Facebook. |

| Yeah, i'm glad they didn't riot either. And in all fairness, where it's warmer, people pay less attention to hockey. But that's great. I was reading some of the "cluelessness" articles. But still, it looked fun, and I was sad it wasn't us. Lol. But then again, it was KINDA the Flyers...lol. I'm just glad Hextall could get the celebration.
And it's about 70 hours now, but when I was in school for the semester, it was about 40, so not too bad. I didn't start the job until February, and didn't start working full-time until March, so I had all of January and February to kick ass and take names with school, so I still kept up. Took 6 classes though. If I didn't have to work, I could do it, easy peasy. But now I'm going to just take 4, MAYBE 5, pending on how easy the course is, since I'm working so much. |

| I was up in San Francisco Saturday and Sunday helping Stitch move all of his stuff out of a storage unit he had up there. Hung around the gay pride festivities for a bit and did some sightseeing, before driving through Sunday night into Monday afternoon back down to Paramount in a U-Haul.
Then spent Monday moving all of his stuff out of his other storage unit down here and moving both loads into a new, larger unit. So much grunt work. I'm still sick and Tuesday was pretty much just spent trying to nurse my sore throat. And yesterday was almost entirely spent at the courthouse waiting for the preliminary hearing to start and watching it. I think I'm finally mentally there again. |
