| Having someone to talk to, seeing my cousins do well in school (or at least be less stupid), or actually getting somewhere for a change with one of my projects. Or those rare occasions where my mother acknowledges that I'm not a child. And as much as I disliked the prospect of spending an entire month by myself here, I was glad my grandparents were going to go on vacation for their anniversary and have some fun instead of being stuck in the apartment all the time. Of course, everything that could go wrong did for that trip, so it didn't actually work that way, but I digress.
In general, other people being happy makes me happy. This is one of the reasons I'm as averse to getting into arguments as I am now; then other people get mad, then I'm (even more) upset, and it's just a nasty spiral. |

| I haven't been following it as much as I should have, honestly. I live in a pretty heavily Republican area as it is, judging from the absurd number of Romney signs I'm seeing, which has pretty much turned me off of local politics. Hell, a lot of local races last time around didn't even have a non-Republican running.
I know I should pay more attention to it, though. |

| For as short a time as possible. I want whoever is still relevant in my life at that point to be able to move on and live the rest of their lives.
While I am remembered, I'd like to be remembered as someone who was always there when people needed help. |

| Can't think of a whole lot. Honestly a bit surprised you didn't ask about the difference between current try-to-make-people-happy me and younger usually-an-asshole me, though it's pretty simple - I just hate people slightly less now, plus I care a lot less. There are things worth getting worked up about, but not many. |
