| One of the guys from Misfits may be playing Roose Bolton's bastard this coming season!
I'm not entirely sure of Ramsey Snow, although I'd heard he was supposed to really be in season 2 a lot more than just being mentioned a couple times between Robb and Roose, but I love this guy on Misfits.  |

Also, it's kind of funny seeing Ciarán Hinds as Mance Rayder since he also played Caesar in Rome and a bunch of Jane Austen characters. |

| So every time I take a "Which House Do You Belong To?" quiz I usually get House Arryn, which is fine (amusingly when it comes to Harry Potter, I always get Ravenclaw... the birds call to me, apparently).
But I took part in this random meme on Facebook and got House Mallister, which is a house subservient to the Tullys. They have an eagle (sometimes it's skeletal) and their words are "Above the Rest." I don't know much about them, but once again I get another bird sigil. Funny, because in other fandoms and, hell, even when it comes to Zodiac signs (Capricorn), I almost always get Earth as my element (in other things I'm a hobbit, an earth-bender, and even in taking the Captain Planet quizzes, I get Kwame). Anyway, I'm afraid to look up anything about the Mallisters for fear of spoilers. You know anything about them, Elara? | Not much spoilerish on them really. They are more of a "mentioned in passing for history" kinda house. Here is what I pulled off the wikis that has no spoilers.
House Mallister of Seagard is a vassal house that holds fealty to House Tully of Riverrun. Their lands are north of Riverrun, along the coast of Ironman's Bay and south-west of the Twins. The Mallisters are longstanding enemies of the Ironborn; Seagard was built as a defense against marauders from the Iron Islands. In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, House Mallister is one of House Tully's most loyal vassals. Lord Jason Mallister is noted as both a loyal vassal and also a close personal friend and ally of Lord Hoster Tully (Cat's father). During the Greyjoy Rebellion, the Mallisters defended Seagard from an ironborn assault. Whilst the town and castle were damaged and severe casualties incurred, the ironborn suffered significant losses, with Lord Jason slaying Rodrik Greyjoy (Theon's oldest brother, I think) in personal combat. And Lord Jason's uncle Denys is in the Night's Watch and commands the Shadow Tower... I think that gets mentioned like once in the first novel. |

| So, as always, it seems far too short!
But squee!!! Not super happy with the departures from the book, but so far they are understandable still. Though it does kinda take one big "Nuh uh!" moment away that makes me sad... and no Strong Belwas. Can't wait for next week, it looks like that is when all the others are going to show up. |

| Well, I'd by lying if I said I didn't see it coming.
Spoiler:
I knew Robb was going to die, the middle of last season. Gina had scored Robb on a quiz, "Which of the Kings are you?" or something regarding the Clash of Kings characters and then posted on Facebook something like, "Well I guess this means I won't be around much longer." I just didn't know how it was going to happen, but I somehow KNEW it would be at the hands of whom it was. Spoiler:
I've also been seeing pictures of Catelyn with a white face and vertical stripes either drawn on or imprinted on her cheeks (Link). I'm trying to not read too much into it yet, but I assumed she would either die or enter an insane stage of mourning. Anyway... I'm not as broken up about it as others. In fact, I'm more relieved. This set of spoilers is behind me now, and I can move on and be more surprised about other things. But since it's just you and me reading this, Elara, I'll go ahead and list off the spoilers I know to a certain extent. Spoiler:
- Ygritte dies. I saw fanart. I also knew that Jon Snow was supposed to get face scars since I'd seen some fanart with him like that before. - Joffrey dies (by poisoning, I think). One of the pages I'd liked on Facebook outright posted an image from a set of cards made to look like "The Gashlycrumb Tinies," and the caption read something like, "Joffrey, poisoned I expect." This seemed alluded to when you see Joffrey pick up his wine to drink RIGHT AFTER Stannis does the bit with the leaches on Gendry. - Loras dies. I don't know how or when, but Marty just randomly said it while I was talking to Becky. Since I really don't care about Loras, this one doesn't matter. Since Brandon told them about the show's storyline of Tywin saying that Cersei was to marry Loras, and Marty and Becky said that never happened in the books, I assume he'll get killed off before that wedding. - Arya is on another continent. I also don't know how or why, but Marty just randomly said that too. - It was Lysa Arryn who had John Arryn killed. This was one I knew about to some extent right after watching season 1.
