| Got all my paperwork in for student teaching. Got accepted to the program to do the last 4 1/2 weeks of that student teaching in freaking IRELAND!! And I get to go to a Tabletop day on Saturday.
Also, lost about 10 lbs. Yay! And coming up on 5th anniversary myself. If California acknowledged it, you'd be one more year away from Common Law marriage, Rogue. Lol. |

| I've started writing a book within the last month. Space opera, following the adventures of freelance pilot Jack Cressid as he does odd jobs for the four major nations in this region of the Silver Spiral galaxy, the Theralian Empire, the Zephis Republic, Free State Andus, and United Kelos. And Orine Labs, though they're what we'll call a special case.
Chapter 1 is done, 5570 words so far, 11 pages on 8.5x11. |

| George R.R. Martin posted that he's just submitted his manuscript for a book of collective stories about ROGUES. Mwahahahahahaha!!
And look at the list of contributing authors, for crying out loud! Garth Nix, Scott Lynch, Daniel Abraham, Michael Swanwick, NEIL FUCKING GAIMAN. Martin's own piece, which is the intro is called "Everybody Loves a Rogue."

| As I wrote in the "Fuck You" thread, my dad is in the hospital for pneumonia. What I'm happy about is the fact that the kidney issue my mom had told me over the phone while I was out hiking was not as serious as she led me to believe.
Mom made it sound like his kidneys had shut down, but when I spoke to his doctor, who hadn't even seen him yet, she showed me his lab results as compared with his history. While his kidneys are having slight issues (he is diabetic), it's solely because he's sick right now. It's only a few points difference from usual. I'm so relieved. I'd spent the night thinking I was going to have to donate a kidney, believing my dad was dying at any moment. |
