| I don't answer my own phone, if I can help it. I HATE talking on the phone.
I go through weird anxiety when my phone rings and Brandon's not around to answer it for me, no matter who's calling. It could be my parents. Doesn't matter, I freak out either way and then suck it up and open the phone (I still have a flip phone... seriously). |

| For me, when it comes to the phone, it's a combination of things. For one, I'm a shy introvert and even when I see someone I know well in public, I still hide so they won't come talk to me.
At the same time, I grew up answering the phone at the house and forgetting to give my parents their messages, so they'd get mad and I started just "letting the machine get it" so I wouldn't have to be held accountable. When the landline rings, I still don't answer it because it's never for me, and the people on the end would leave a better message than I'd be able to remember to tell the person for whom the call was. But I think the number one reason why I've come to hate my phone is that it's a 24/7 direct-to-me, demand hotline for the world. When I was working on the paper and had people calling all the time for one reason or another, usually sources getting back to me, I didn't have as much anxiety because no one could really talk to these people on my behalf for me, so I got used to it. Still, in the off-hours Brandon would have to answer my phone, even if it was friends wanting to go out for a beer. These days when my friend/boss calls, I get anxious because it's normally that he wants something or perhaps he wants to berate my work. I get the same way when he messages on Facebook, which is much more stomachable way for people to communicate with me. Random fact, just to keep on topic: I was excited to know the Germans had a word for pleasure derived from others' misfortune: Schadenfreude. And that they also have a word for weight gained from emotional over-eating: Kummerspeck (which literally means "grief bacon"). |

| Yup. Coming to a theater near you this July. Well, July 1st, so I'm thinking the very end of June. My oldest niece is having a baby too and she's a week ahead of me. If her kid is older than mine, that'll be two great-niece/nephew thingies that are older than my kid. And by a few days probably. That'd be the REAL kick in the pants. | |||

Thanks!  To address the shit part, while I am not married, I have technically "done it right" in terms of how my family works.  Financially, it's all good. I have a REALLY good job with a judge that didn't turn me away because I'm pregnant, so finances are there and I managed to land a pretty damn good dude. :p
And since I'm not into the whole "belly pics" just because, this stuff won't be found on Facebook, but since y'all are like family....proof that I can do something to gain weight!
