Oh, I wasn't trying to call you on complaining, only saying I feel you on the lack of sleep. My own situation was pretty temporary since it only lasted last Thursday through Sunday.

But we've got Gallifrey in less than a month. Eep...

Right now living in the shadow of the smoke from the Glendora fire. Fuck.

EDIT: I WASN'T. WASN'T. WASN'T trying to call you on complaining, Xeo. I hate when I accidentally write yes when I mean no, and vice versa.

OK, I see Katana. And Xeo finally popped up again. But where's everyone else?

It was a busy week for me, if only in the sense that each day someone had booked me for hang-out time in one form or another.

Yesterday was Brandon's birthday, so we were out doing things. Since dinner fell through with my parents we reserved for this new place tonight, following an early dinner with Brandon's aunt at our usual barbecue joint.

And this weekend is also filled with convention meetings. We get to have the Gally (Gallifrey One -- Doctor Who con) meeting tomorrow after I pick up our boss from LAX. She flies in from England for every con meeting and all of the three conventions this group throws every year.

I've been so not busy the past couple of weeks its not even funny. Even my job is really easy right now.

That's awesome though that the boss flies out for all of the meetings and stuff. I haven't gone to many cons. I "worked" a few Wizard Worlds/Comic Cons here in Philly as an artist, but I only got to spend a couple of hours actually walking around and seeing everything the one year.

How is the Doctor Who Con?

I freaking wrote out a response, but it was apparently deleted.

...Or I wrote it out, didn't submit it and it's gone.

Either way it's not here.

Ugh...

The Who con is all kinds of fun, even for a non-Whovian like myself. Lots of drinking, lots of geeks. Lots of guests as well this year. They got a couple of the Doctors and several of the companions for the convention, but being in ConOps, I'm more likely to be on duty during the panels and events.

Seriously, though, the drunkest I ever got in my life was during the last Gallifrey One. Off-duty, of course. I woke up the next morning going, "Whoa. When did I get to bed and when did I remember to change into my pajamas?"

So get up at 5:30 to work out.
Work 8-4:30
First class at 5:30
Second one ends at 10:00pm

It's like... a 17 hour day I guess? Holy shit. lol

I've been running errands and doing all sorts of grunt work for Gallifrey One this past week, and Gally starts up in a few days.

Will be spending this week, recording my friend's podcast, having one night of gaming and then spending all other waking moments loading and unloading trucks, picking up people from LAX, and working the con.

Looking forward to the nights of hanging around, drinking plum wine out of my tankard and strutting around in a top hat.

Just went through the busiest, most tiring convention days of my life. My feet just won't stop hurting. Gaah!

Now to prevent con crud.

Just spent an hour digging out the driveway again. Seriously, fuck you, winter.

I only have a four hour shift today. It's like the anti-busy.

Just got a call from my uncle. My grandmother's home called him to say she fell on her head and needs to go to the hospital. He wanted to know if I could go with him to urgent care; I said sure.

He lives in Ontario and is coming to get me. Called at 8, it's now almost 11. Around 9:30 he said he was on his way and just leaving his house. Here's hoping the home is keeping her awake. Sheesh.

Yikes, hope they're okay Rogue.

I don't even know what's going on right now. Getting up early, working out, work, school, insane homework, online classes, wanting another job, and yeah. I'm out of breath.

He showed up around 11:30, and we got her to the hospital around 1 after making sure she ate at the home before we took her.

Got to urgent care and checked in. While waiting she kept shouting about a "negro" constantly peeing on her floor. Once they saw her in the back, they said to take her to the ER to get a CT scan to make sure she didn't have a brain bleed.

Thus began a ridiculously long wait whilst sitting in a room where it seemed like everyone was manically coughing (uncovered, of course). Anyway, she got in a few hours later, got the scan, and we waited another few hours for them to discharge her when they said it all looked good.

Afterwards got dinner with my parents and went to a strip club with a friend, on her whim.

I'm heading up to Washington in a couple weeks for my boyfriend's sister's wedding (technically vow renewal). Will be out there a week and a half or so. Not sure about WiFi.

Never heard anything from DS. So I'm not sure. I had to do my domain checkup thing recently so I was afraid that was maybe related, but maybe not? Huh...

Leaving for Washington at the end of this week. It'll be my first time there since I was 1, when my parents and I went to the last World's Fair in North America, Expo '86 in Canada.

I love road trips, but this'll be with Brandon's mom and grandmother included. They're not going to want to stop at all the interesting things.

Well, at least I can look forward to Voodoo Doughnuts while breezing through Portland.

This week was spent looking for Lee's dog, Whitey, who thankfully was found and is now back with him, microchipped and wearing a GPS collar.

Now I'm in the middle of cleaning Brandon's and my insanely messy room. There are mountains of clothing, trash, and other things that I can't just throw away because they need to have other spaces in the room cleaned out so I can put them there. So now there's just piles and piles of things on my bed.

Speaking of which, I had to mend the holes that opened up in the fabric of our mattress. I was using hot glue to keep it from fraying open more and then applying patches and gluing the edges of those down. In the process of pressing some down, the glue came up over my nail and attached to top of my finger and now there's all this skin pulled off.

Leaving tomorrow morning for the Pacific Northwest. I've done at least 9 loads of laundry since yesterday.

I'm in Anacortes, Washington right now. Been spending the past week hiking, checking out the sites, and working almost endlessly on wedding shit for my sister-in-law.

I've inadvertently become the DJ, using Spotify. Sara doesn't want any fun wedding songs. It's all cheesy love and country songs now. She wants mellow, acoustic, and/or Christian.

So I dropped a 2-minute, acoustic cover of "The Rains of Castamere" in there. Yup.

The whole week, I've been working my ass trying to raise money. Now I was able to go the the Cherry Blossom Street Festival next week in Washington DC.

It's my 2nd year there! I am also roaming Cosplay people at the festival.

You are officially my favorite person ever. Please have Brandon ready with a camera to get her expression when it plays.

Speaking of planning wedding shit. I hate it. Why am I doing this again? And coming up on five days of work in a row... but then Steel City Con! Yay for nerdiness!
