The second episode of "Westworld" dropped early this week. I liked it.

We're really struggling getting through "Twin Peaks" season 2, though. So much of it is just different from the first. Like Donna looks different from scene to scene almost, and the drama amongst the characters is usually terrible and too much time is spent on it (Donna/Maddie/James, Ed/Crazy Wife/Norma, etc.) Albert needed to be in it more.

Anyway, we finally have Bob's identity answered. Do we need to keep watching?

I still have yet to finish "Twin Peaks," or "Luke Cage" for that matter.

I've pretty much just devolved into re-watching the same things over and over again ("Zootopia," "Man Up" and "Amelie" on Netflix and "Silicon Valley" on HBO Now.)

The only things I've been watching that are new are the DVDs of Akira Kurosawa films I've been getting from the library and "Westworld" when it rolls out a new episode on Sunday.

I missed your October Twin Peaks update Rogue...

Yeah, it's worth finishing if you've managed to push through the middle, a bit after the Bob stuff. But yeah... Donna was awful and they tried to throw in like ~5 soap opera romances into the mix and dragged it out so much for whatever reason. Such a trainwreck.

The last few episodes are solid though. Have you met Windom Earle yet? He salvages some of the damage.

Fire Walk With Me is really serious and back to the weird Lynch stuff. Definitely check that out too. Might redeem the second season for you haha.

I'm still hopeful the third turns out great though. Hopefully Lynch had better control of the whole thing. Just sounds like a lot of producers and outside interference jacked up season two.

I've completely forgotten where we are and what's happening. We're past the Laura Palmer arc, and Bobby's dad turned up again after being missing.

Bobby's trying to start some deal with Horne. Ed's wife believes she's a teenager in high school and is super strong for some reason. I think Cooper's still on suspension for going into Canada to retrieve Audrey. The Jean Renault stuff is tiresome.

Not sure if Windom Earle has popped up yet, but we've got David Duchovny as a trans person.

I love how reading that sounds like made up stuff...

That angle here with Ed's wife was so utterly pointless and stupid.

Brandon says Windom Earle has been mentioned so far in what we've seen. Thankfully he has a sharper memory and was able to explain who he is.

Yeah, it's been taking us forever to come back to it.

The first season of "Westworld" is about to end, but now we've got the rest of this season of "Vikings," which came back last night.

Now sure what's coming once this is over. I know they're finally going to air "Taboo" in January, which they've been stalling on releasing for a while.

Currently working my way through "Ran," an Akira Kurosawa film loosely based on "King Lear." I like the visuals, but I also like other films of his much better. I don't see how this is considered better than "Yojimbo" or "Rashomon."

I have yet to dive into Akira Kurosawa, but have some friends that really love that stuff. Kind of funny despite how much I love anime, old and new, but I'm still kind of iffy on Japanese film. Not sure what to think yet.

I do thoroughly recommend checking out his films, especially since so many things drew inspiration from them ("Magnificent Seven" is based on his "Seven Samurai," etc.)

"Yojimbo" is easily my favorite of the ones I've seen, but then I still need to watch "Seven Samurai" all the way through. Seems like any of the movies he made starring Toshiro Mifune are gold.

Been binge-watching "The Man in the High Castle."

It's pretty good. A little predictable, but still good.

Isn't that the alternate history one, where the Axis powers won WW2 or something?

Yup. The storyline takes place in the early 1960s. The Westcoast (Alaska through Baja) is under Japanese control, while most of Canada and the Midwest from Montana down to Texas and all the way to the Atlantic Ocean are under "the Greater Nazi Reich." There's a strip in the middle deemed "The Neutral Zone," with a very tiny American Resistance working out of it.

I don't want to spoil it by detailing it more than that, but it's essentially a low-key science fiction show. I mean, it was written by Philip K. Dick.

Finished season 2 of "Man in the High Castle" last week. It's very good. And now the long wait for season 3.

Currently in limbo looking for another show, at the moment, though Bran and I should really pick up "Vikings" again since it's back from hiatus. We just haven't been in the full mood to sit and watch it rather than the TV being on as background noise to our surfing the web or reading.

Still another half-a-year 'til "Game of Thrones."

We got sucked up into "Crazy Ex-Girlfriend," which is actually a pretty progressive show in many regards. There's only two seasons, and amusingly, it was Brandon who kept going, "Wanna watch more 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend'?" Looking forward to the third season.

We started "Marco Polo" and "Frontier" at the same time. I think we'll probably continue with "Frontier" before getting to the second episode of "Marco Polo." Actually, come to think of it, we didn't even finish that first episode of "Marco Polo."

A little under four months 'til "Game of Thrones" returns.

Hackers leaked the first 10 episodes of "Orange Is The New Black" season 5 online, so I'm watching it. Mostly to avoid the inevitable spoilers that I know are going to be coming.

I haven't watched anything in about a week, but I was watching The Big Bang Theory, I'm up to around midway through Season 2, my sister lent to me the discs since she has all of them.
