B) This has nothing to do with Erk. C) These exploits are just now being recognized. D) Erks server didnt do anything. E) Just because this version is one of Erks does not mean that his webhosting secures it. F) Knows what you are talking about first.  |

| Oh god damn it all to hell, I know it's not a server problem. But, if he were running a competent company, wouldn't he at least offer some level of protection or at least insurance to his clients? I mean...nevermind. My explanations are lost on people concerned with the SQL security of a board.
I know that the exploits are PHP oriented, and I know they can be fixed. I also was not flaming, that was merely a broad ranged opinion that happened to encompace (sp?) my total lack of respect for a certain person that owns these servers. And, exactly, Erk's servers didn't do anything. Please, anyone who secures their servers with small predictable passwords deserves more than just a board wipe to his clients. But, I'm not the one to do that. I have friends in the IRS for stuff like that... |

Dude, I know we all resent Erkdog for something, but this isn't his concern. All he does is supply us with a spot in the internet. He didn't come up with the ACMLM stuff, he's not an active staff member here, he didn't supply us with the equipment needed to even HAVE an ACMLM board. (Even though he gave us ONE update.) As much as I would like to blame Erkdog for not giving us Security Protection, its not his problem what happens on his server. He's like parts of the government: "Don't care what happens, or who its from, as long as we get our cash." (Example: Taxes, Ebay, 5cent deposits... etc) |
