Here's the majority of bands I love:

- Van Halen
- Hendrix
- Led Zeppelin
- Black Sabbath / Ozzy
- Old Metallica
- Slayer
- Megadeth
- Blind Guardian
- Quiet Riot
- America
- Gun's N' Roses
- Faith No More
- Gamma Ray
- Dragonforce
- Edguy
- Symphony X
- Stratovarius

That's all I can think of right now, and I'm pretty new to Progressive Metal so I don't know of too many bands in that genre, but I can say Gamma Ray and Edguy easily rock hardcore (Progressive's my new favorite genre).

Metallica, Not load, Re load, or Stanger. Only one good song came out of those albums "aint my bitch" its ok nothing special.

what happened to Metallica, they like lost their sound, and started sounding like everyother generic metal band. Were did you go gods of metal!?

Also im a AC/DC whore, lol.

those are my top 2 bands ever, i do like others but their just ok, none of them really can compare to metallica

While were on "the fav" subj why not go into most hated?

"Green Day" They suck a lot, there just plain dumb also Good Charollette, i means weres the music and talent, its just mindless opions being stated.

Whoops, you can AC/DC to my list.

But yeah, I thought Metallica lost their touch after the Black Album.

Yeah 1991, sad year lol. But i believe metallica can still come back, if they stop making wussy albums, and go back to siging about death(Ride the lighting)/ Controlling people (master of puppets)then theyll be the gods of metal again

I need to get a hold of their "Machine" CD. Plus they are back together . They said "We need to put the freak back into rock and roll" That they will

They actually came out with an album with alot of remixes and some new songs. I don't remember what it was called but it is a sweet album. Had a few songs that were real Trance like. But yes this group rocks.

Metalli'FUCKING'ca

Both Reload and Load had good songs like The Unforgiven II (not as good as the first one, but still good), Fuel (not extremly good, but if you heard the 'before releash version, you'll like it), Fixxxer (The bass guitar play is excellent).

Of course, I ain't saying I don't like the old albums (I'm currently listening to Creeping Death, which is, on a side note, the song they played the most live and the only they played above 1k times).

AC/DC

Can't go wrong with AC/DC, with songs like Highway to Hell.

The rest:
- Slayer (Omg -> Angel of Death)
- Panthera (Omg -> Cowboys from Hell)
- Iron Maden (Too much stuff to name)
- Alot more, there is....

Fuel is my most hated song of all time does this chorus line sound like metallica to you? "Fuel is pumping engines" Now is that metallica or is this "I creep across the land killing first born men" Compare and contrast, Fuel is un metallica, and the creeping death line is

But Xeolands god, all of the old metallica albums were solid, meaning you can listen through the whole CD without skipping a track, unlike Load,Re load, ST anger you had to skip most of the songs to even hear a "ok" song. The last 3 albums just didnt seem like metallica, the lyrics/ Singing didnt blend in and carry the guitar/bass/Drum lines with it, they all seemed seperate ruining the feel.

Thats my view . ...and justice for all < best album Eva. the way i look at it, re load just had all the songs that didnt make the cut onto load, since re load came out less than a year after load was released,

Ramones
AC/DC
Led Zeppelin
Aerosmith (my favorite band)
Guns N' Roses
Queen (R.I.P Freddy)
Metallica
A bit of Godsmack
Hendrix

Aerosmith was and still is my favorite band. Steve Tyler (whose real name is actually Steve Tyler Rico) is truly an awesome and original singer. And Joe Perry, awesome guitarist. And his guitars are pretty snazzy as well.

Queen...damn, you just can't forget about Queen. They truly are legends...RIP Freddy Mercury.

I've always had a odd soft spot for the Black Album, just because of Nothing Else Matters... but then again I like most of Metallica's stuff, even some of the newer things... though I don't care for their version of Whiskey in the Jar.

Then again, if you hear their songs live, then you like them all (I know this because of October 4th, 2004 (heck St.Anger sounded great)).

I dont really Care for metallicas bass at all, Im a kirk man. lol. Plus metallica has been through too much with bass players, Cliff was killed, jason left. and now they have that stupid funny face guy Robert. Who i hate. so yeah, lol. Kirks guitar will always be the sound of metallica to me at least

Maybe I'm weird here, but honestly I liked Kill Em' All and Ride the Lightning the most from Metallica ...

Then again, I'm more of a fast paced-Progressive fan, and their earlier albums were heavier and more thrash, so that's probably why.

I forgot a few bands:

Pink Floyd
Alice Cooper
Styx
Panthera
Iron Maiden

And probably the only semi-close to rap bands I'd ever like:
Run DMC
Beastie Boys

Linkin Park, Elara? I'm surprised.

Nah, it's not weird.

I liked Whiplash and Pulling Teeth best from Kill 'em all, honestly.

But nothing can beat James' solo in Master of Puppets
