| I just went to reply to a thread in General Discussion and it wouldn't let me make one, this message came up:
Couldn't enter the post. Either you didn't enter an existing username, or you haven't entered the right password for the username. Click here to return to the thread, or wait to get redirected. Now when I had a closer look I noticed that my funny é wasn't showing, instead this character was showing in its place �. Now can anyone explain to me why it is doing this? The character isn't showing up in any other post I make on the board  |

| It's a character encoding problem.
In your browser, find where there's something about character encoding, and change to ISO-8859-1 (or something like that), I know the "é" works in this encoding (I use this one, always). | hmm.. ok, well I just had a little look around my browser options and couldn't find it This has never happened to me before though. I just don’t understand why it’s doing it now, unless the update I installed with firefox did something

It should be next to "Edit" in something called "View" (or close to that, mine's called "Affichage", so I basicly made a rough translation  ) | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Hey found it, it was in view  and it's all working now. It was on Unicode (UTF-8) before I changed it so I wonder how it changed itself... well at least I learnt something new, thank you

| Heh, I remember when I had my name end with the "Trademark" symbol (TM).
Yeah, it messed up in certain browsers, so I decided to stray away from using such a character. |
