| I was totally not expecting anyone to know the bonus question. Yes, in truth, the movie Gladiator was inaccurate with the thumbs. When the thumb is pointing up, it means to kill. When the thumb points down, it means "put your weapon down" or not kill. And yes, the cross necklaces (or the North Star necklace)is correct.
