or to "escape" the cell he could kill his cell-mate, therefore recieving punishment for it by the warden having him put in the hole. |

| Here's an answer:
They made a rope from the material on the bed, and tied to round the bed posts and the cell door bars, to make a sort of pulley system. | Perhaps one of them knock out a tough, and using that they cut the sheets into a rope. Then, they throw it to the window, and the it should twirl around one of the bars. The brab the rope, and pull themselves up that way They then use a bone from some meat they ate, and cut the bars.

| They tunneled into the wall, and made a new window which they could reach. Because that would be the thinnest spot of the wall...
Or...This coiuld work too.. They had already tunneled into the wall, so they stand on the hole in the wall and boost each other through the window... |

| They keep digging the tunnel, but use the dirt from the tunnel and make a pile of it under the window. Once the pile gets high enough they can climb up to get out the window.
