Not really a joke, but something I noticed yesterday.

On about all of my videogame systems, there's a form of "Numbers" around the controllers ports, probably for the blind to know what they are. (Shapes, dots, etc)

But think about that ... helping blind people to be able to play videogames ...

Seriously, I'm not even going to say anything, just think about it.

In no way am I'm aiming to be anyway offensive, but seriously, it just doesn't make much sense.

Hm, where do you see these dots at? I look at my PS2 for a little bit and couldn't find anything of the sort. I did happed to find something between to the two controller ports. It says "Magic Gate". I've never noticed it before.

Have you ever spent days and days and days making up flavors of ice cream that no ones ever eaten before? Like chicken and telephone ice cream?...Green mouse ice cream was the worst.

....well, I've never noticed this on controlors, but I think I see where your going with this. It does seem to be a bit pointless doesn't it?

... maybe it's for the design, I mean seriously they can't be that dumb to put things on a controller to help blind people play games.

... it's probably to make it look good

Well, worse has happened...such as our DMV applications reading things like "If blind, check here..."

Uhm. I have never noticed that...Even after you pointed it out. BUt I will disagree anyway! Blind people can play games, well, RPG's like Pokemon, because there was always sounds to give away what was going on...But at some parts it would be very challenging not to be able to see...

Honesly, I didn't check my PS2.

But the SNES had dots indicating what player the controller port was for, and then the Xbox has Numbers above each controller port.

Just something silly I noticed.

Yeah, I don't find it that strange. I'm sure there are blind people out there who play video games.

You could probably play an FPS if you had a blindfold on, if and only if It was Halo, or Halo 2. You were in a completely silent room(excluding the game of course) And there was surround sound turned up. Very very high...

Mostly yes, but what about those flying creatures? They make almost no sound, and are haard to hit even without a blindfold.
