Anyone know of any -good- Free Anti-Virus software out there?

And Legal of course.

Having this computer since 01, and since it hasn't been reformatted ever, it's hard keeping this thing -decent-.

You should run AdWare and AVG AntiVirus. Both free and legal.

Mcafee Virus Scan.

It works, and if something tries to get on your computer, It'll stop it if it is a virus, and and can update daily.

I remember using AVG 6.0, I'm pretty sure they've updated a lot since that version, I guess I'll look into that.

But yeah, currently I use:
- AdAware
- Spybot Search and Destroy
- Hijack this

And I've still got "crap" on my computer.

Well my mum uses AVG and that hasn't failed us yet so that would be a good one... also get Spybot Search and Destroy and Adware 6

I have Adaware, and RFAgent, and neither seems to work very well. My dad fixed the computor more by just destroying the viruses and stuff on his own...

I have McAfee, and it's free.

I use McAfee, ZoneAlarm (Great firewall) and Ad-Aware 6.0.

Search for them, My comp's virus free cuz of them, lol.

Since when has McAfee been free? I don't personally use Winodws but everyone I know who has or has used McAfee has had to purchase it.

Upon further inspection of their website I see they now have "FreeSearch" and whatnot.

That's if you acctually go out and buy the McAfee CD.
I use aol, and the services of McAfee are free to download off of the AOL databases. (And Legal)

I would use spybot it is free and I have been using it for a while and it works wonders. No it does not infect your computer.

You can get it from download.com
