 Welcome to the Sim Battle Challenges! (SBC) In the world of sim battles, fighting back and forth can sometimes become boring. These challenges were made to add a lot of spice to the concept so that everyone would have fun fighting and have their love for sim battling revived. This "game" puts you up against various opponents in different scenarios and settings. The object is to get past a challenge and move on to the next while adhering to any special rules in effect. There is an immense amount of variety with these challenges, so unless you skip ahead to a higher available challenge you will never come across the same type of fight twice in a row (with one exeption). During your journey to the end you will most likely learn about new concepts, improve your fighting style and know how to make better posts. Get past the last challenge and... There are some special notes to remember and rules to go and by while participating in the SBC: 1. Do not look in another thread of a challenge you have not already completed. Doing so will probably spoil any surprises and give away methods of beating a challenge, causing you to cheat. 2. DO NOT look in another thread of a challenge you have not already completed. There will some challenges you'll reach that allow you to have another member participate with you. They will not be listed here, but you will be notified in your challenge thread or through a PM when they come up. The rule to this is that only members participating in the SBC can help and they must at least have that challenge available to them, if not already beaten. If you decide to help a participating member with a challenge while in the middle of your own, you can still continue your journey as well as help the other participant at the same time, but only if you have already completed that challenge in the past. 4. Know that in most challenges, if not all, you will often be hit automatically. Do not take this as cheating or god modding. It is to get you to think of something else to do to protect yourself instead of constant hack-and-slashing, such as healing or rethinking your strategy. 5. After you complete the first two challenges in order, 3 more will become available to you, and you can do those challenges in any order you wish. After you finish one another challenge will appear. There will be no more than 3 challenges available to you at any one time. Some challenges have story developments, and if you wish to go through the plots seamlessly then it is best to do each challenge in order. Otherwise they may be changed around a bit. However, make note that you will know everything once you reach the end, regardless of how you choose to progress. 6. To view the progress and stats of you and everyone esle simply click the "SimBattleChallenges" banner at the top of this thread. 7. Note that you have HP. You will gain higher HP when you beat certain levels. Most of these challenges are made so that they are beaten with ease, but there a few that require different startegies, and you may lose if you're not careful. If you do lose you will have to start the challenge over. You are allowed to heal your self during a fight, but doing so will end your turn. You cannot heal if you have already attacked. 8. It is important to know that unless otherwise informed, all enemies you may fight are weak to a certain magic elemental. There will be no made-up elemental that they are weak against, although they may use one you probably have never seen. Some enemies will have their weakness obvious, while others are not so noticable. Carefully examine who or what you are fighting to figure what the elemental weakness is and use that to your advantage to complete the challenge quicker. Remember that simbattling isn't just about back and forth sword fights and uber power spells. Put in a little strategy and a few clever tricks to make things easier for you. And be true to your characters' abilities. Use some creativity, that's one of your abilities as a human being. Have fun with this and keep and apply anything you may learn here to future battles. I will be using Xeios Ballain, My Demi-human character seen very often on this site. I wish everyone who will join the SBC the best of luck, and hope for them that they don't get knocked out too early.
