| It might have just been an April Fool's joke. The sad thing is I once knew a guy who believed that "us landing on the moon" is a bunch of nonsense. He also didn't believe that Dinosaurs walked the Earth... :-/ | |||

Look, the Landing was obviously NOT a fake. How the hell could they orchastrate such a charde? It would be more trouble to make the farce than it would be to just say, "Hey, scientist dudes! I'm the president, and I want you to use our missile technology to build a rocket to the moon. I'm the president, and I say, 'get cracking!'" That would make a lot more sense than saying, "Hey, independent movie producer guys! I'm the president, and I want you to create a whole farce of a moon landing in order to give the people some form of false hope during the Cold War cause I'm an ass like that! Don't forget to ask our brilliant scientist guys with all the specs for a REAL rocket to the moon for informaton on gravity and atmosphere on the moon, too. I'm the president, and I say, 'get cracking!" |

| Did you even read the post? Not everyone in the 60s knew about how the gravity and near non-existant atmosphere would affect walking, jumping, flaig-raising, etc. Only scientists would formulate ideas like this, and damn smart ones too. The scientists back then were not caniving scum-bags like half of ours our with their "cloned children" bullshit. This was during the Cold War, and that was factual proof that this happened, it gave us hope, and got us out of the cold war. Case closed. | |||

I honestly don't care if the moon landing was fake. It doesn't have any impact on my life either way, so I see no point in thinking about it. |

| what point exectly did you win anyways? because i didn't say anything about movie producers or scientists. i just said there's always some who has been there longer than the president. so what does that have to do with "only a few scientists knowing about gravity, et al?" you're not even pointing out faults, but rather are making them up as you go. let's save the troube of you making yourself look like a bigger jerk than you already have, and stop this.
but i will say, how would it be harder for movie producers to make up the landing than it would to actually built a real rocket? that whole logic doesn't make any sense. a fake set and a film crew would cost much less than rocket fuel. you can easily make a movie in less than a month, than you could even train a real person to use a rocket. |
