I've been watching a lot of stand-up comedy lately and I've gotten into some new stuff as far as comedians are concerned. My favorites always were Dennis Leary and Jim Breuer and a lot of older people like Bill Cosby. His stand-ups are actually pretty damned funny.

But yah...living off of Comedy Central has gotten me into other comedians. Pablo Francisco, Dave Chapel, oh, and omg...Blue Collar TV...lol. That show has me in stitches quite often. Another comedian I like is Christopher Titus. Yah, he had that show Titus and all...but he's sooooo much funnier in stand-up.

So...what about anyone else? Yes I got the idea for this thread from the British Comedies thread. They're pretty funny too.

Dane Cook

One of the few stand up comedians that can make me laugh. His cd, "Harmful if Swallowed," is absolutely hilarious and I look forward to his next one.

Ron White - This guy is my favorite. He is always drinking liquor and smoking a cigar, which cracks me up. Also his facial expressions like never change and he seems so serious, I just find him funny.

Larry the Cable Guy - What can I say? Git 'R' Done!

Bill Engvall - Hilarious. Bill is awesome, though sometimes his comedy can be a tad lame, but he's pretty good.

Dave Chappelle - Dave has the second best show on Comedy Central. (First is South Park ) I think Dave's show is hilarious. I always laugh my ass off at his comedy. I'm so glad he is making a third season

These are my favorite comedians. You are probably thinking "Why didn't you post Foxworthy with them?" I don't like Jeff Foxworthy that much, I don't think his comedy is very funny at all. Though I do like his "redneck words". Witchadija is my favorite redneck word . That is all I really like about Foxworthy.

Two comedy t.v. shows that it can be too hard to beat:

Saturday Night Live
Mad T.V.

Saturday Night Live... Think about it... you know you see a normal everyday but when it come to jokes, they do make the Sasame Street banned for just two letters: F U. And don't forget your newcasting with silly comments.

Mad T.V.? Fricking hilirious. It is so damn funny, you can just laugh as hard as you want.

And the comedian I like was Larry David althrough he might not be a comedians, but used to be. I mean, he is a old guy with a funny sense of humor. And he want the entire world to "be bald" so no jokes about that either.

I don't really watch Mad TV...but SNL is kickass. I like the older SNL stuff better though...like with Chris Farley and stuff.

And Chappelle...that's it...glad Ryan was here to spell that for me. Teehee. He is pretty kickass..."White Power!"

Foxworthy...Foxworthy I like. I like the other guys on Blue Collar with him better.(don't watch that much TV, so I really dunno much, I can only name what I see constantly whenever I do watch TV) But I do like Jeff so yah...**shrugs**

and omg...that thing with Breuer...First time I heard his AC/DC impression....omg I almost dies laughing. I can send that to ya Spy if you want it.

Dane Cook is good but i don’t think he’s the greatest. He’s just so random, but the randomness is funny. Now some other sane comedians that I can remember.

Adam Ferrara - My friends use to always talk about this guy and how funny he was. All his jokes were down to earth everyday occurrences. "At night I use to find the bathroom by sonar. Keep peeing till you hear water.

Gilbert Godfrey (Sp?) - I don’t know why but for the longest time I loved watching this guy make jokes. Most people don’t like him because of his voice but he still is pretty damn funny. This is a quote I remember of him. I was sleeping at a motel 6 and out of nowhere Jesus appears. I said "Hi Jesus" and he just looked down at me and said "Call me Jes"=

Ant from last comic standing - I don’t know why but this guy was always a favorite. He just loved to make fun of himself to make others laugh and I admired that. "In my country I am a princess." "Well in my country I’m a queen and I out rank you."

Ellen Degeneres - She was one of the first female standup comics I’ve seen and I was really impressed with how she preformed.

Triumph the insult comic dog - My god there isn’t anyone out there who can hate this guy. He makes fun of everyone and everything. He’s just a puppet but he’s still one of the funniest comics I’ve ever seen.

I have his "CCC's" i think is its name. idk i got it from a friend, And hes not that funny . His one on abortions bored me to death, and the one about "my god has a bigger penis" was about as fun as waking up at 6 am . Hes just plain not creative.

Everyone says the tpyical:

The Red Neck Posse (Engval, Foxworthy, Larry)
Dane Cook
Dave Chappelle

But what about Stephen Lynch? The hilarious man writes his own songs and incorporates them into his act. Ah, he is hilarious.

Bill Hicks
Mitch Hedberg
George Carlin
Denis Leary
Daniel Tosh
Stephen Lynch
Dane Cook
Greg Proops

Just to name a couple..

Sadly Mitch Hedberg and Bill Hicks are now dead.. *sigh*

Mitch just died this month and Bill Hicks back in 1994, It's amazing how relevant his comedy still is today.

Lewis Black is very funny, his theory about caramel corn all being made in 1913 was great. Colin Mochrey on Who's Line Is It Anyway is also really good. There was this black guy in a suit and thick glasses that i saw one time who talked about how videogames had no effect with children being violent, and has one of the best lines of all time "You think kids are gonna go out and jump on someone's head, and make a coin pop out of their a*s?!" I really wish i knew his name.
