My favorite dream theater album is train of thought. I think it takes a little a way form the long drawn out epic songs Dream Theater is famous for don’t get me wrong those songs are good. My favorite song on that album is either as I am or endless sacrifice.

I've only heard a few songs from Dream Theater. Honestly they're not bad, but I think if I'm wanting to listen to Progressive Symphonic Metal I'd rather go with Symphony X.

Just me I guess.

Hmn... that is actually a rather tough call for me to make. I only own two of their albums, but there are so many more songs that I like.

I think that I will have to go with the song Metropolis part 1, the Miracle and the Sleeper off of the Images and Words album. I just love the lyrics and the music.

The Dance of Eternity, on the "Scenes from a Memory" album would be one of my fave, really.

Yeah... while Metropolis is my favorite song, Scenes from a Memory is my favorite album... which I find ironic since the two are connected.

But as for my favorite song on Scenes from a Memory... I think I'd actually have to go with Through Her Eyes or Beyond this Life.

Side note: I love your most recent name change Darkslaya... very appropriate to the thread at the moment, heh heh.

Have you seen some DT bootlegs, Elara? They play all of Scenes from a Memory. Man, they own.

My favorite is probably Fatal Tragedy, The Spirit Carries On, or our favorite epic A Change Of Seasons. If DT side/solo projects counted here then definately Acid Rain or Three Minute Warning (most people can't stand its lenghth XD) from Liquid Tension Experiment. Right now I can play a good amount of the keyboard from The Dance Of Eternity and am still self learning it(the old timey piano = very hard), so that's usually what I listen to by them. Wow I love the Full Score Anthology book. My favorite album is Scenes From a Memory, the style that its in and how each 'character' has a different voice is incredible.

"Scenes from a Memory" is my favorite album of theirs, and "Through Her Eyes" is by far my favorite song by Dream Theater. I first heard of them from a DBZ movie I watched a few years ago and part of "Through Her Eyes" was the ending song on if you had it set to English. That was the first song I've listened to of theirs and still continues to be my favorite.

[that's what the Gigantour playlist is for]
That's basically what Stickman said, and what I thought the first time I heard it. Katana, you reminded me that I have Ares and can download all the dbz movies I didn't see, which are 8, 9, 10, 11, 13, and the Goku jr. thing. I'll of course get it all subbed, but which movie was it?

Gods, Gigantour was the other day and I wasn't able to go... I am still heartbroken over that!

It was at the end of a DBZ movie? What the hell?

Heh heh, I have Through Her Eyes in a Kenshin AMV, it's actually the best Dream Theater AMV I've come across so far.

"The History of Trunks"

I asked a friend of mine today and she reminded me. I forgot the name of it but I knew it had to do with Trunks. It's at the very end when the credits and stuff come up, and you have to watch it set on English. If you set it on Japanese however, it plays a kickass song. The English only plays a small bit of the song, and then goes into some rap like thing(which was shocking to the world when I said that it was actually a kinda cool song as well. )
