There you've found common ground. Look.... This is the last time I'm using this analogy. There are three types of Simbattlers, Artists, Sketchists, and Modern Artists. What I see going on is that people are bringing the Modern Artists to stop thinking that a red dot on a canvas is art. Yet what you see is the artists taking the sketchists and the modern artists and trying to make them better. To be honest this whole Shin-Ra thing has made me very inspired to write better, I don't want to have umpteen hundred pages, but enough to fully describe my attacks in a manner that is easily understood. What I don't get is this, describing everything about a gun. I mean i can get the specs in your character profiles. I don't want to know what the gun looks like I want to know what the gun does. I'd rather the paragraph that is made to be easily understood instead of me rereading it millions of times. That would be a better help. |

Think about that's what they want more description, doesn't matter if you put logic in it or not. give them the fucking benefit of the doubt. You can bend the rules at the beginning of the battle. | I have heard no where that the rules are just guidlines. And if they truly are, then passing any new rules woul just be very ascinine now wouln't it...
I agree with your analogy, destroying an entire group of people who battle is a bad idea. It leaves people out, and usually those people who are left out are the most active in battling. |

Where does it state that you have to have a 10 paragraph post? Hmm? It only states that you need to be ABLE to explain. Toss an "OOC: This sword can cut through almost anything because the blade is pure fire energy" at the end of a post. Be able to elaborate on that a little bit if asked...such as how hot the energy blade is. We are NOT TRYING TO COMPLETELY CHANGE THE WAY YOU WRITE. In fact, AS STATED IN THE BASICS OF THE RULE, you wouldn't even need to modify your average IC post. It would look better if you did..but a short, simple OOC note (or the ability to provide one IF ASKED) would do just fine. Why is this so difficult to understand? | Also id like to point out that if you use something based on a game/movie/anime something that already has precedence, its generally always aceptable.
Like say...for magic. If you use "materia" from ff7, your reason for the fire spell to work would be because you used the materia for it. |

| Ok, this is enough. I'm closing this thead, since the incedent is being resolved.
The whole Avalance deal is somethign that should NOT have taken place. I'm rather dissapointed in a few people who acctually joined it. I know why it was created, but it is only making matters worse. We are not splitting the board up, since this is what will happen. Xeios, I will be talking to you directly, when I'm back home, about disbanning Avalance. |
