I was just wondering. You know we all listen to music that makes us awake, but do you listen to musice that makes you more relaxed, like jazz and new age. Easy Listening. It's something I like. =P I was wondering if i was the only one.

I guess you could say orchestra for me.

But, I mainly listen to videogame-orchestra's only, not just plain symphonies. Even though I have nothing agains't those, videogame-symphonies and so on are just more enjoyable.

I like jazz, but I prefer it without singing. Otherwise I like to listen to stuff like that on occation. Mostly classical stuff usually.

Nightwish, The Machine in the Garden, Temptation Within and other female singer related bands help put me to ease. Easy Listening? I wont touch that stuff.

Music that makes me think, like a song I could put as a soundtrack to a thought.

It fluxuates a lot if you do it that way though... you'll need a lotta CD's, and somehow be able to switch them on the player while there is no light in the room. I've luckily mastered that art with the power of a flashlight.

Now that I think about it. The music that makes me relaxed is all depending on the mood im in. I can be relaxed to rammstein just as easily as if I were listening to nature sounds.

I can't really become relaxed with hardcore music. Usually I use that stuff to get pumped up in order to kick some ass at whatever I'm doing.

But a band thats really relaxing sometimes would be the Shins. At least I find them a little relaxing. I listen to music right before I go to bed every night, so maybe it depends onhow the day went for me.

Me and a friend of mine fell asleep to some pink floyd. Tool's slower stuff like Pushit is pretty relaxing. Most acoustic will do it for me. In particular; Opeth - To Bid You Farewell. My fav soft listening though would be traditional japaneese music.
