Yeah. The whole retirement thing was just so people could just back off for a while so that I could take a break. Anyway, for now, I'm only willing to issue challenges, I still may not accept challenges due to the limited amount of free time I have available to me.
I am welcome all challengers except... 1) Kaijin (because I'm just not in the mood...yet) 2) Leviathan (like I said, I'll only battle you during my winter break and after the full completion of my profile) Rules: Standard Tournament Rules Special Custom Addition to Rules: You may use only one type of summon throughout the entirety of the match. You may summon that one summon as many times as you wish (assuming you can handle the stress) but you may not summon any other type of creature. Post Absence Limit: 3 days Special note: You screw up, you automatically lose. I've been too generous in the past. None of that anymore. It was a dark and gloomy day as Mother Nature cried in the heavens, sending her sad tears crashing down against the dry, cold grasslands that yearned for her nourishments. The sky cuddled herself against the embrace of a dark cloudy blanket, rejecting the sun's warm embrace to the ground. The rain seemed neverending, its reach...everlasting. Each drop that fell to the ground instantly disappeared into the dry soil as the small blades of yellow grass thirstily took in mother nature's sadness into itself, restoring its life force with her energy. There were so many presences present upon that once-blessed field....the sky, the clouds, the sun, the blades of grasses...and another. The presence was like a sinking feeling in one's heart, as if foreshadowing something great and evil that was to come. Darker and more gloomy than the dark sky, it instilled and bred fear and a sense of panic into body and soul. It was so unfortunate for that realm and planet to have to experience such a painful feeling, but if not that particular era, time, and place, what other dimension would house such a destructive being? As if sensing this great fear, the sky held the blanket of dark clouds closer to her, darkening the grasslands even more. A most gloomy day and a most fitting place...for him. Gasps of pain and hardship began to echo throughout the entire field, though there was nothing around to actually bounce the soundwaves of those gasps back and forth. It wasn't even logical...but it still happened. But what strange phenomenon was this? Who's presence could stir such a change in a once peaceful place? Yet, whatever it was, this presence was obviously the reason why no creature or living thing for that matter dared to stir, as they anticipated his inevitable arrival. Mother nature's tears would soon be turned into blood... The grasses would soon feed on another living thing's life force rather than nature's... And their leaves would be stained with red... |

ooc: You make it sound like you won't except surrenders... oh well.
ooc2: That two day limit may need to be stretched a bit. I'll be moving soon, so I'll be unavailable for about a week. So tell me if you don't want to battle me under those conditions, and we don't have to. ic: Alex heard the gasps of pain, and the otherwise emotionless person felt saddness. What manner of person could do this could not be a person allowed to live on this earth. Such abilities are...unnatural. He walked into the field, whereing a completely black suit, with no weapons visible except for a scabbard, which held his sword. His orange hair did not glow on this dark, gloomy day. His face looked emottionless, despite his feeling of sadness. "Let he who has caused this, come forth." |

With his opponent upon the field, the man with the scabbard and the orange hair, he finally decided to show himself. As the great beating of the rain against the ground grew stronger and greater, the earth shook once and suddenly stopped. And then, it shook again and stopped again. It repeated this for about a minute or so until it stopped completely. It certainly wasn't a natural disturbance of the crust of the planet's body and it was made very apparent in a few seconds.
From out of the darkness, a single dark figure emerged...or rather appeared. As dark as it was, one was able to tell that his features and his attires were completely covered by a single magnificent black cloak that covered his entire figure: body and face. He seemed to be nothing more than a single omnipotent shadow with a massive instrument of death and war strapped to his back. Indeed, it truly seemed to be a most effective instrument for its long blade seemed fresh with blood. As a whole, the weapon extended to an amazing six feet, nearly as long as its master was tall. His head was bowed low, keeping his face and his head dry from the merciless rain. Yet, by some strange outer force from an even more mysterious power, his black cloak seem to give off the sense that it was completely dry despite the raging weather. Indeed, this was a gloomy yet dark figure indeed...much like the current atmosphere and weather. He didn't even bother to look up at his opponent as he commanded that the creator of such phenomenons come forth. This man wasn't even worth answering. Therefore, he kept silent...dead silent making the whole situation very eerie. |

"You disrespect me by not answering." Alex called out to the dark figure. "And I know who you are. You will find that your abilities are not supassing mine."
Alex suddenly seemed to glow a light blue, and yet the area was not illuminated by his light. "Now I will kill you, for one who has killed so many, and so recently, should not be allowed to live." Alex drew his own sword, and it like him was orange, and almost looked...alive. He ran towards Sparda, who as of yet did not appear to have his sword drawn, and so would not be able to use it in defending against this. The attack was strong, and swift. The blade was sharp enough to cut through even mithril like a hot knife through butter. |

Indeed, his opponent's horizontal slash was as swift as it was strong and his swords was certainly a very formidable weapon. However, it was quite unfortunate that Alex's charge was not as fast as his attack. In fact, he practically told Sparda exactly what he was doing when he began to charge forward. Because of this, the black figure was already begining to prepare his first move and perhaps the only move he needed to make. After all, at the speed in which Alex was charging, he had enough time to prepare something that could end it all right there before five minutes could pass.
Seeing Alex already throwing the slash, Sparda took a step back, angling to his right a bit so that he was out of range of swordplay range. However, as he did so, his glowing left hand suddenly shot out, his index finger pointed at Alex's head. Because he had stepped to the right, his left hand was closer to Alex's head than his right hand was...perfect for his next attack. When Sparda had drawn out his hand and pointed his finger at his opponent, Alex was already about halfway done with his slash. However, the moment the index finger was aimed at Alex's head, not another picosecond was wasted before Sparda unleashed Decimate 2 right at Alex's head, at its minimum speed, from nearly point blank range [depending on the length of your sword]. Decimate1- This ability is a very unique ability and very deadly though it is lacking in some areas. Sparda shoots his hand forward with his index finger pointing at the opponent, or anything else. Using a combination of pure psyche energy as well as his own ability to ‘excrete’ energy in any ‘physical form’, Sparda unleashes a strictly non-elemental beam that is only one micrometer in width [The shape is maintained by Sparda’s telekinesis to ensure that the energy waves that compose the beam do not move out of place. The small width of the beam allows for the technique to travel extraordinarily fast without much resistance]. Though it travels only in a perfect straight line, its power is devastating, literally able to penetrate anything and everything (except for very rare and extremely extraordinary occasions) due to the speed at which it travels [approximately 160fps+ (more if stated otherwise)]. Penetration is guaranteed 99% of the time due to the combination of speed as well as accuracy [plus the width of the beam] in which Decimate is launched. Reflecting this attack is virtually impossible due to the telekinesis that is applied onto the beam to ensure that the waves never move out of place. Decimate2- In many ways, Decimate2 is exactly the same as Decimate1. In fact, the only differences between the two attacks are the dramatic changes in speed, width, and composition. In terms of width, the beam is expanded to one centimeter. In terms of speed, the minimum speed in which the beam can travel is approximately 200fps+ [this, however, can be increased depending on how much psychic energy is used to launch the beam.] However, the main difference between Decimate 2 and Decimate1 is the composition of the beam in Decimate2. While the beam of Decimate1 is simply a non-elemental beam existing on the plane of existence in which the fight takes place, the beam of Decimate2 essentially exists only on a part of the plane of that existence. This attack is based off of the Law of One Divided Plane, a proven theory of his time in the land of Ulgath [this law is fictional]. The law stated that while one thing can exist on one plane, certain parts of that one thing can exist on a separate part of that one plane if the plane were to be divided. For example, a fighter dressed in armor and sword exists only one plane. However, the sword and the fighter’s armor exists on one plane, the plane being that of those that are not living and the fighter would exist on another plane, the plane being that of those that are living. When these two sub-planes are combined together, they form the present plane, containing both living and non-living things. The planes are differentiated by the specific life forces that every thing [living and non living] exerts. It is because of this law that Decimate2 is so deadly. Because Sparda is capable of tapping into whatever plane he wishes to [due to the necessity of a divinity being able to tap into the different realms], he is also capable of tapping into a sub-plane. In the case of Decimate2, the beam is formed, not in the plane if existence, but in the sub-plane of living things. In other words, the beam is unaffected by anything in the sub-plane of non living things [such as armor, shields, etc.] Therefore, the beam will not come into contact with anything but the opponent’s unprotected body. However, due to the extensive energy needed for such a sudden burst attack, its accuracy is extraordinarily limited when shot at something beyond eight feet of the source in which the beam was unleashed. Also, because launching the beam and tapping into the sub-plane both require massive amounts of concentration, Sparda’s psychic powers are completely shot for approximately fourturns [not including the opponent’s]. Because the beam is now approximately one centimeter in width and launched at 200fps at near point blank range, it will result in a instant kill in your case sense the beam will penetrate your skin, skull, and brain completely, destroying every single neuron in your brain as a chain reaction of the beam destroying thousands as it is. |

What Sparda apparently failed to notice with that Alex was glowing. This symbolizes that his shield was turned on. This shield's first layer was made out of air, which usually stops the attack. However, the second layer is made out of living bacteria, which was so compressed that it was inpenetrable, unless the actual force of impact was stronger than Alex's mind, which was all that was keeping this bacteria alive, and only if it stopped, could it die. As a result, Alex could move himself very easily, and yet still have hard, inpenetrable armour.
Alex almost smiled as that attack failed against his living armour. "I am glad that you revealed that attack so soon. Now we can continue knowing that you must use strength, and force. Not merely these needles of death." Alex now concentrated on his telekenetic power, and attempted to grab Sparda, send him up by 100 feet, and then ram him down. Fast and strong should this attack be, if it succeeds. An ordinary person would be nothing more than a red mess with the strength Alex was using against Sparda. "You should not have allowed your psychic powers to be used up so quickly." |

Just to lay this out, since this battle is using offical tournament rules, that also includes judges.
Now then. Vulkar, I don't see how you can possibly create a layer of bacteria, millions and millions of cells, in so short of time. Care the emphisis on how this is even possible? Also to note: Regardless of even the fact that you could make such a thin layre of bacteria, mind how it would also be strong enough to resist a deadly attack like Sparda has formed? According to how the beam was structured, the beam would have punched through such a thin layer of living mass like it were mear paper. (Last edited by Kaijin Surohm on 09-25-05 04:52 PM) |

ooc: My character already had it on. Like I said, his armour was activated in one of my previous posts when I started glowing.
Also, it is inpenatrable, by the fact that they are so compressed, so that by the atom then it is inpenatrable. He did not describe how it got through, so I must assume it was by penetrating between the atoms, or cells. So, this bacterial shield should stop it. The effect of the atoms being so compressed would ordinarily create a black hole, but Alex uses telekenetic skills to counter this effect. Good enough for you? |

You still didn't say how the shield is even possible. Use of spiritual energy to create a shield I can understand, but creating something thats living makes very little sense. To me, it sounds like a pethetic attempt at avoiding an attack that will drop you quikcly.
Last chance to explain how the Shield works before I deem it illegal. |

This follows my character sheet, which you can read in my profile.
The bacteria comes from his sword, which is already made out of bacteria, and also controlled by Alex's mind. It is nothing like a pathetic attempt to block it so quickly, as the shield already existed, growing from his sword. |

Your profile dosn't explain how your sword is possible. By logical means, a sword make through biological matter would make the sword dull, and unable to cut. By having the setup you do, you not only failed to explain how it's possible, but it just dosn't make very much sense in a whole.
The ability to control as many bacteria as you say now would put your mind into a serious strain since you are contantly controling the bacteria in attempts to keep them together on your sword. Soemthing like that would destroy your mind, or seriously destroy your ability to fight. According to the rule of Logic, I deem this aura, and your sword illegal. The fight may commence. |

ooc: In that case, my sword for this fight will be a type of metal, and my shield lacking the baacterial layer, until I have the time to fully explain it in a later fight.
ic: As the bacteria suddenly ceased to exist, and the sword turned to metal, Alex used Psychokenesis to sense the danger before it happened, and while he still had the momentum for the swing, he simply ducked, which did not go against his horizontal swing. Alex slowed the momentum. and stood still, after the swing was finished. So, Alex did the same Telekenesis attack as already explained before. (Last edited by Vulkar on 09-26-05 10:35 AM) |

; Vulkar, think before you post. Sparda hasn't spoken a work in the whole fight. Unless your a telepath that can see the future, there would be know way you would know how the attack would work, let alone how fast you would have to be in order to avoid the attack in a whole. | |||

ooc: Psychokenesis Kaijin, read my character sheet before you critisize. It allows him to know some things he doesn't know. This is getting annoying. I have studied out my character very thouroughly. I know all about the Psycic powers.
But you know what? Thanks for the reminder. Psychokenesis would allow me to dodge it. My post will be edited, if you don't complain about this. (Last edited by Vulkar on 09-25-05 09:01 PM) |

Sure, go ahead and use Fore Sight to dodge this attack.
So long as you can logically do so by explaining how you can cancel out of your mid swing, and break the momentum in your body quick enough to get the hell out of dodge. |

ooc:
As a matter of fact, I did notice but I never replied because honestly, your attack makes no sense. You swing your sword horizontally, which is to say left to right or vice versa, and yet you somehow manage to find the momentum to duck? That is pretty much impossible, given the circumstances you have been placed in. How do you use a sideways momentum to go up/down? And the fact that you said it didn't go against your horizontal swing makes your post even more senseless. If you're ducking, that should imply your whole body since ducking your head won't do anything for you. However, you're still in the middle of your horizontal slash. If you were to actually duck, it would almost definitely interrupt your entire slash completely since 1) your sword and arms would be in the way and 2) there really isn't any momentum to speak of for you to use to duck. And also, I'm pretty sure I said that if you screw up once, you automatically lose. (Last edited by Sparda on 09-27-05 12:46 AM) |
