Fighters:

Kaijin
vs.
Cairoi

Items:
Kaijin has received the Single Edged War Axe Item
Cairoi has received the Flail Item

Analysis:

Single Edged War Axe
A ferocious weapon used only by the strongest of warriors, the Single Edged War Axe is truly a formidable instrument of death...when used properly. The War Axe is extraordinarily heavy and difficult to wield. As a result, few warriors have ever attempted to use the war axe in battle. However, if the user were to be of great strength or possessed knowledge of weaponry momentum, then the war axe would be an unstoppable weapon. It is nearly impossible to wield the War Axe with just one hand due to its weight. Where the War Axe fails in defense and speed, it excels above most others in attack strength. It has been proven that a single well placed strike with a war axe can decimate the opponent, rip through shields, and render armor useless...if the user can use it properly that is...
Length of weapon (including edge of axe): 5 feet
Length of blade: 36 inches
Weight of weapon: 295 lbs
Note: Most of weight is concentrated in blade

Flail
The flail is a medieval weapon made of one (or more) spiked metal balls attached to a handle with a hinge or chain. There is some disagreement over the names for this weapon; the terms "morning star," and even "mace" are variously applied, though these can be used to describe other weapons, which are very different in usage from a weapon with a hinge or chain, commonly used in Europe from the 13th century to the 15th century. Its primary virtue comes from the fact that it is difficult to parry, and can curve over a shield which would block a straighter weapon. However, the flail was itself a clumsy tool and unwieldy for defense. Some advanced knowledge of weaponry momentum is required for a user to quickly recover from a failed strike since the flail often leaves the user at a massive disadvantage if he/she misses. However, one well placed strike of the flail is often sufficient in tearing the opponent apart due to the length and sharpness of the spikes of the morning star.
Full Length of weapon: 40 inches
Diameter of Morning Star: 8 inches
Length of spikes on Morning Star: 6 inches
Length of Chain: 17 inches

Kaijin chuckled to himself as he entered the arena, lugging the massive weapon in his hands. He was a little unused to the massive weight, since he usually used daggers, but he managed...

He wore a cloth black muscleshirt, and cloth sweapants, cloth black wristbands for looks, with military boots. Since Armor was banned from the tournement, he made sure to leave them checked at the door. A pair of Human green eyes scanned the arena, checking the size, and over all area.

His muscles strained out, fighting against the weight of the weapon he was handed before entering.

He lifted the weapon up, and slammed the base down into the ground, leaving the blade into the air. He held it straight from the ground, as to not wear himself before the fight. He was thankful though, through his assasin training, he could lift a massive amount of weight. Thanks to his usual use of heavy explosive materials, like Rocket Launchers, or anti armor weaponry, he had to be strong. That, and to life his own weight with ease, for quick escapes. Or just to overpower his opponets if need be. Regardless...

A lightweight weapon over an overweighted weapon... intresting pairup...

OOC: I'm sick, so you know the whole going on the computer thing is a tad hard for me. I'll post whenever I can.

Cairoi looked down upon his weapon with a frown. A simple flail instead of his Diosu. It had not the finesse, nor the speed, or the defensive power. All in all, just a tool. However, rules were rules, and this was the weapon he was bestowed. He shrugged his shoulders and stepped forward.

He walked slowly into the arena, his clothing different then his usual attire. He wore a white T-shirt, blank in design. It was ruffly and showed age, a characteristic common to all of Cairoi's clothes. He also wore a simple pair of bleached jeans, torn near the ankles where the little hedges bit. He also wore brown leather boots that went up underneath his jeans instead of tucking the jeans inside.

He looked up at the searing noon sun and smiled. This time of day, no shadows could decieve his vision. He looked upon his opponent and merely chuckled, seeing his black-clad advesary. Cairoi was careful not to wear black as to absorb the noon sun's rays and sweat more. Clearly his foe, while just as adept in combat as he, took no consideration of the enviroment into his battle plan. Already, things were going his way. He titled the flail in his right hand downwards, allowing the chain to loosen and fall down the farthest the chain would allow. He was ready.

Kaijin paid no mind to the sun's rays, or the arena at all. The only thing he needed to do was stay away from the walls, as not to get stuck hitting one...

He glanced forth at his opponent, and lifted the heavy blade from the ground, both hands gripping the weapons as he walked, the cresent of the blade pointing toward the ground.

"Well then... Lets get this started, shall we?" He let the blade of the axe rest on the ground, putting most of the weight off his arms. He was amused by the whole tournement... for once victory was unclear.

Cairoi saw the signs of Kaijin putting the axe down and he begun to spin the flail in his right hand, the circular motion making a completly vertical circle. He shortened the movement his wrists made in exchange for power. He made it spin faster, and kept it controlled as he tiptoed close enough to Kajin to enter the danger zone and ready Kajin.

"Make your move, Kajin."

Cairoi's face was stern and ready. He would react to any movement Kajin prepared and counter with enough force to end the match before it had truly started.

Kaijin put the axe directly down, leaving the tip resting against the arena floor. He had to be carful with Cairoi, for one slip would mean his life... But the first mistake has been made. And Cairoi will learn quickly as to why.

With the main wait pressed agaisnt the ground, Kaijin quickly SIngle-Handedly thrust the pole of the Axe forward when Cairoi was in range. With the angle of the weapon swing wasn't leathal, it was heavy enough to leave a headache after the strike. A simpel move, but one that left him enough room to reacto to a counter.

Cairoi saw his movements as small cells. He took a quick step to the right, avoiding the pole. While doing this, he instantly shifted his weight toward Kajin. He pulled his hand out in a horizantal arc in front of him with the step, sending the flail's head at Kajin's spine. He was moving rather quickly, and Kajin's weapon was not in a state of total preparation against instant counterattack.

Kaijin quickly leaped to the side himself, when he noticed Cairoi's move. He perpously left his move open so he had freedom of reactions.

When he leapt to the side, the pole leaned with him, and he quickly gripped the lower side, lifting the axe up, in an attempted to lodge the blade between Cairoi's stomach, and ribcage, while the flail was still in motion.

Cairoi saw his chance. The second KAjin jumped out of the way, Cairoi took a curved step forward with his right foot, pointing him in Kajin's direction. He then took another step with his other foot, turning him towards the direction he previousl was. In tthis one flowing motion, Cairoi kept the momentum of his movement and spin out of the way of the attack before Kajin lifted the weapon. He then continued his centrifugal motion and proceeded to do one more spin, in and arch towards Kajijn. He stopped when he was paralelly aligned with KAjin. As Kajin made the stab and shifted his enitre weight into the lunge, Cairoi brought another attack across his front aimed at Kajin's skull, which was preoccupied with the lunge.

Kaijin quickly stepped back when he noticed Cairoi's movements. His arms straining on the stupid hunk of metal he held within his hands.

Quickly, he leaned back, as the flail breezed by his face, taking the wind with it as it passed by, in a fury of metal.
(never lunged, FYI. just lifted it.) While Cairoi's attacked missed, he quickly slid his hand down the shaft of the weapon, down to where the cresent was on his axe, and held all the weight into his arms, as he stepped into Cairoi's arm length, and quickly brough the weapon into an upward arch slash, the force itself would have slammed in under Cairoi's left ribcabe. With his hand under the blade of the axe, he had considerable control over how it was, and since he was relying more on the sharpness of the finly tuned axe, he still had the momentum to escape another attack.

Victory goes to Kaijin after Cairoi failed to post within the 3 day limit.
Kaijin is now qualified for Round 2.

Cairoi is now eligible to participate in the special Wild Card Matches, assuming that he follows the instructions for them which will be posted later on in the WMT Tournament Thread in the Sim-Battle Arena
