You all know the moment when you open that box and you see... behold... a new console, or a new game you've been dying for...

What are your fondest gifts? Those that you were so excited to get.... those that you'd been longing for...

Could be modern PS2 or the old NES, or Mario Bros 2. Whatever it is, tell us!

I'd say the greatest gift (game related and not) was the Nintendo 64... *looks off dreamily*

Mmm... the year that I got PSX for Christmas, and then for my birthday precisely one month later, I got N64... it was a plentiful year in the Literal household. Literally.

That was so great...

Best gift was either me getting my SNES, or my N64. My dad got me my first system, the SNES, and it was great. I remember getting the 64 on Christmas and calling some people:

"I got N64"

"Me too."

"omg"

Then it was followed by a great day.

The year I got Super Mario Brothers 3, that Christmas was the best I ever had gift-wise. I actually still have that same copy lying around with my other old games, and it still works too.

Probably getting WWF No Mercy for Nintendo 64 was mine. It was my "I will die if I do not recieve" game.

I've never forget the Christmans I got Donkey Kong Country.

Right after I got it, and we were all done opening presents, I ran to room and played the game to death. In that day I made it all the way to the 4th world (Ice area), and from there on I played that game almost daily, alone, with friends, for quite some time.

When I got my SNES. I was 6, and I glomped my grandmother, who bought it for me. Worst mistake she ever made. It absorbed us... We needs it! The Precious!

I actually remember getting Duck Hunter at age 4. Oh my god, I was so young, but that game taught me the basics of sniping things from afar en masse and I've never been the same!

The day I got Command and Conquer for the Sega Saturn...to this day, 7 years since its release. I still, always have and always will love and completely PWN at that game...

Also, i remember whne I got Sim-City 3000 for the PC, that whole day during christmas, I built an outstanding utopia called "Dont bomb us". The city would gain a finance at 20,000+$ a year...along with that christmas, I got FF8 pretty early, and christmas eve, I diddnt even sleep, so I fell asleep on my computer keyboard. :Laughes::

Thats about the gist of it...

I remember the times I opened up my SNES and Sega all those years ago. Excitement rushed through my body and I had strong urges to play it right away. That same feeling goes with me getting games now days, either buying or receiving them.

One birthday, I got Conker's Bad Fur Day. One christmas years ago I got Chrono Trigger, I was really really happy when I got those two games. I was the happiest guy in the world back then.
