| Despite the smiley I used for this thread I actually have no interest in the console. However, I thought it would still be nice ot announce that it's now out since nobody else seems to have done it yet. I didn't even realize it was until I looked on MSN 10 minutes ago. Thing is, I was at the Wal-Mart here at 2 am. I'm sure people had already come and gone with the system, because it was quite, with the exception of the floor cleaning machines.
So.... who here is getting one. Or better yet, waiting in the line overnight and already have it.  |

| Xbox 360 is out, eh? Well I don't think I'll buy one since there isn't a game on that system that I'd like to play not even the console version of Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion. The PC version of TES4 is automatically better because of the construction set, mods, game expansions, etc. | |||

| I must say I am impressed with the graphics. Very impressed. However, the system is not worth getting because everything that you need for it costs extra unless you get the $100 bundle set. Which will total $400. Games are $60, so XBox can blow me.

| $60? Maybe I was looking the cheaper games, because of the ones I saw (4 or 5) only one was over $50. I certainly hope PS3 games aren't going to be that expensive when the system comes out. | |||

I didn't get one......I got hoed out at several stores. When they say ' it'll be first come first serve at 12 o 'clock' and turn around and give vouchers out in the middle of the day, it doesn't make your day. Basically Shuyin got owned. |

But yeah. I stopped at Walmart (where I work, nontheless) last night at 9:00 to get some cat food for my cats, and there were already like 30 people setting up camp, playing cards, in lawn chairs, wrapped up in blankets. I had to laugh to myself. Why would you put yourself through a night of waiting in FREEZING temperatures for such a system? In answer to the proposed question : no. I am not going to get a 360. I will most likely get a PS3 and definatly a Revolution, but not a 360. |

| I'm getting 'em all.
But not right away; even if the companies do take a loss on each system they sell, the prices are way out of my league for a good bit of time. I don't get enough (after taxes, before bills) in one MONTH to get an Xbox 360 right now. |

Personally for me the PS3 seems better, i'll end up with all 3 at sometime, but I want the PS3 first.... I'll buy a 360 when Halo 3 comes out |

| A hardware upgrade, blah, I'll wait for PS 3, a Gradius title could be a launch title.
I hate how these gaming companies put out a small amount of systems, and people are crazy enough to sit in the cold to pick one up. My PS 2 will hold me for awhile I think, and it's one of the first generation and still working well. |

| Despite the fact that waiting outside in line overnight for a system seems very stupid, it is actually an experience. I'll admit that I did just that with my brother and his friend for the PS2 launch outside of Best Buy. There was some fun in it. Just like camping somewhere out in the woods or whatever. | |||

| I think the 360 is going to be a great system, but it just still feels early.
Even though I bought Perfect Dark Zero, and don't have a 360 (because thanks to MS's marketing idea, I probably won't be able to find one on the shelves until next year) it doesn't bother me that I can't play it. Basically, because there's still a ton of great games coming out, and good games to look forward too. Dragon Quest VIII, The Legend of Zelda, Final Fantasy XII, Black, and so on. So yeah, since I bought PDZ, it's obvious that I'll be getting a 360 in time. There's quite a bit of games out for it now that I'd like to get (Saints Row, and other future titles like Gears of War look good), but I honestly think the PS3 is going to be a lot more interesting, and superior. It's just sad that MS had to pull back shipments because of a defect in the Hardrive packages, and it's sad that I've heard 90% of the released games are extremely glitchy (white lines come out of nowhere, etc). Luckily, I hear PDZ is the best running game for it right now ... The Revolution ... eh, we'll see. |
