| So yeah, 'tis the season... for the invasion of germs, bacteria, and viruses.
Except for all you southern hemisphere dwellers (Deesse, Syntax, etc), all of us are facing the onslaught of all these interlopers what with the sudden change in tempterature, the high winds, and all that. I was perfectly healthy 'til it became evident that Zoso has strep throat, then suddenly a nice (ha, nice isn't the word for it), little bitch of a cold settled in and made itself at home. Well, that can be taken care of. So what's your horror story? |

| Ha, bitches! I haven't gotten sick... yet.
I enjoy the winter, presents, lots of snow days, winter vacation. I don't mind if I get sick, my colds roll over pretty quickly nowadays, for two, three days at the most I don't feel well and then I'm better. |

| Luckily I've yet to actually get sick. I might have gotten over my cold in October, but I can't be sure. I'll tell myself not to get sick till after the holiday season (yes, that usually works for me). Mainly because I'm going with my family and GuardianOni to Las Vegas for New Years. | |||

| I'mnot one to get sick during winter. I rather enjoy the cold sometimes, although it has nothing to do with my immune system. My sickness comes sometime around spring in the form of "super" allergies where I constantly sneeze in 2 second intervals for aobut 3-5 minutes. This happens several times a day and goes for 2 weeks. | |||

| I just got out of the most serious illness known to mankind, Pneumonia...
Well this is how it started... Sunday after work I went over at my cousin’s house for a little fun. I had a hard and stressful day at work and I felt like doing some singing from heavy metal bands and such. We usually do this because we have the house to ourselves for like…I believe 3 hours, so no one could hear us. Well, We had the door open and as we all know if a door is open its going to be cold in the house, I was dripping in sweat and ended up loosing my voice due to me screaming to music as well as the harsh coldness nature gave me… And then Monday hit….Oh my GOD it sucked. I had an extremely hard time breathing and ended up staying in my bathtub due to my extreme fever. So there I am laying in my trunks with an extremely high fever in EXTREMELY FREEZING WATER!!! OOT: I got upset with my partner Tuesday because his one-to-many G/F’s was calling me up IN MY DEATH BED at damn 2 in the morning! So I screamed at him some more and developed Pneumonia… Tuesday morning at 4 I had to be rushed to the emergency room due to me having lack of oxygen. My doctor told me that I had an early case of Pneumonia and needed to be delt with as soon as possible. They stuck 6 shots inside my lungs to get all the fluid out, and I was released at around 10:00…with me needing much needed rest. Then Wednesday, I was walking around my house with an face mask…pretty cool because I sounded a lot like Darth Vader…I would prank my grandmother and creep next to her couch asking her with a deep voice for some Vegetable soup…vey funny stuff…later on that afternoon, I took off my mask and did something else retarded…I smoked some *COUGH* with my friend…Well at least my condition didn’t worsen… And now its Thursday…and seen how im better I get to go over to my mum’s house and play me some Diablo 2 with my Cousin…very fun stuff… Only things that hurt me right now are my lungs…there are several poked spots where the shot was pierced through me to get the fluid out….getting from laying down to standing up is a pretty hard task… But im feeling a lot better…so no one worry about me. Its going to take more than Pneumonia to take me down… |

| I've checked everything but the last two. So far this is actually a good year for me. I got strep throat once, but that was about it. Otherwise, it's like my body won't make up it's mind. One day I have a fever, sore throat, stuffy nose, that kinda stuff, then the next I'm okay...and so on and so on.
Last year was one of those "lucky" years for me because it's one of the very few that I DIDN'T get Pneumonia. I usually get it around January-February though...'cept one year I had it on Christmas. So yeah, as Sajin said about the REALLY REALLY cold baths, I've had that happen quite a bit. I hardly remember some of them, people have refreshed my memory...they'd wake me up in the middle of the night to take my temperature, cuz I'd be sleeping, and all of a sudden they said I'd get really pale, start sweating a lot...good stuff like that. Then they'd be rushing me to the ER and I'd be tossed into a bath of ice... I'm also anemic though...only thing I know about it really is that it means I have really thin blood or something...so I'm guessing that has to do with my getting sick like that all the time? **shrugs** Dunno...but I get sick like that all year 'round, so the only thing about the winter that sucks is it's cold and I HATE the cold.  |

I have bronchitis, that I've refused to treat with western medication and hope just clears up and goes away. I'm trying to build up my body's immunity, and I don't want to do it artificially with medication. So, eastern and chakra treatments abound. |

| Oh man, well, my wish was granted.
I have the best kind of sickness. The one that you can deal with, and you get out of school cause you look and sound sick, but you don't feel that bad overall. This is great... haha, three day week of school; I was sick on thursday AND we get a snowday today! WUAHA! |
