Two days and 300 drawing later:

This is a PCD assigned to TMC (Transportation Mobility Commission) Senior Engineer Brandon Demaria. If you're fortunate to be able to freeze frame the footage, you may be able to spot information that Brandon shouldn't have access to, but does. Unfortunately, his PCD is shut down after he views that information.

This is part of the story, but not instrumental just yet.

It did take me two days of drawing, and 300 individual drawings to animate this. And, I am not doing it again until I get Flash and a tablet. Or, until I complete my other two videos. Or...whatever. I've got stories to update.

Holy crap... 300 drawings? Did you make copies of the actual PCD thing and just draw what was supposed to be on the screen on each copy? You couldn't have done all that with one picture... the erasure marks would've gotten crazy by the end. And did you scan them all individually? Thats dedication!

I've never used one of the tablets, but I would imagine it wouldn't have the same feel as drawing does. But for this sort of thing you're doing it'd be a hell of a lot easier.

The actual stuff that was shown on the screen was really intricate. I think what I saw were maps... at one point a dotted line crossed the screen. Wait, that was the charager. Everything seemed to flow really well. I liked how the screen with the face in it grew larger as it moved to the top corner of the screen.

There's a reason why the screen appears dirtier towards the end. I took one drawing of the PCD and animated within the screen. However, I did do it by erasing and redrawing every single image 300 or so times. So, after the first 50 images, I could see all the erasure marks, but the camera I used to take the photos couldn't. I turned the light and white balance meter up, so it hit most of the erasure marks. The animation would have been longer, but the screen began to get "dirty" towards the end of the 300, so I stopped.

They are 300 photos though, with the camcorder set on a tripod over my drawing pad. Which is why you'll randomly see something orange in the corner. That's my little rag that I use to keep my hand dry (I have sweaty palms).

Ohh.. I see. That makes sense. That had to be rather tedious, but it came out good so I suppose it was worth the time. I thought I noticed something in the corner, so it was a rag. So wait... you filmed it? It wasn't individual pictures? That makes a lot more sense than my 300 scans idea I had going on.

No, they're 300 individual pictures. My camcorder is a digital camcorder. It takes both digital video and digital still pictures. I don't have a working scanner, because Windows XP is lame, so I use the camcorder to take pictures.

This film is made of 300 individual pictures of the same sheet of paper, since I erased and redrew for each image.

O____________O

Even I don't even have enough patience to lvl on Maple Story anymore. How many hours a day did you spend on the drawings?

7 hours each day. So 14 just drawing. After that, it took about hour just to do the editing on the computer. So 15 hours across two days.
