Awesome movie. Not really sure how to make a more interesting post, trying to talk about a comedy here ...

Basically, if you liked Anchorman, you'll probably enjoy this just as much. Same director, same humor and style. I didn't think it was as good as Anchorman, but it was definitely worth seeing and one of the best comedies I've seen in theaters for quite some time.

If you like to see movies often, check it out.

Yeah, I loved Anchorman and really want to see this.

But, seeing as to how I never go to movie theatres, I'll probably end up seeing it in a year when it comes out on DVD.

I tend to wait for Will Ferrell films to hit video before seeing them. I'm not sure if this will follow suit or not, but but I'll have to see what other friends say.

I remember when I first heard about this, it was just called "Untitled Will Ferrell Nascar movie" on IMDb, which did not at all sound interesting.

It does look amusing enough, but I just might end up waiting 'til it hits rentals.

My friend saw it yesterday and said it was the worst movie he's seen in his life. Then again he liked Nacho Libre, so I don't know if I can trust his judgement on this one.

Hey, I liked Nacho Libre!

Anywho, I might watch it once it comes on video... but for the most part it looks like the dumbest movie I have ever seen.

I have, absolutely no clue, no understanding, no comprehension, no thought, no idea, no word in existance as to how someone could like Nacho Libre, and not this.

Wow.

It was okay. One thing that kinda bugs me is that pretty much all the jokes in the trailers were either shortened or cut from the movie. Except the fire one, that was longer.

Easy for me to fathom. I'm surrounded by people who are HUGE D/Jack Black fans who also hate WIll Ferrell with a passion. Meh.

What weirds me out are the people who love Elf, but hate Anchorman.

Yeah, well I just think its weird. Nacho Libre was just so dry, much dryer than this movie, and I just think you'd have to be a little weird to get laughs out of Nacho Libre, and then not this movie. Your humor would be weird ... very, very picky or something.

Then again, like you said it could just be people automatically having a love towards their favorite actors and thus they're somewhat biased about it in the end.

Or something I guess.

You wanna talk weird? I just laughed my ass off watching Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, and I usually hate stupid humor. Then again, one could classify something like Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back as stupid humor (which most of it is), but I love it to death, though mostly because I'm a HUGE Kevin Smith fan.

But seriously Kung Pow was one of those movies that my friends who were fans of Dude, Where's My Car and all the Tom Green movies told me to stay away from and thought it was just too stupid.

But back on topic, I dunno I mean I guess you'd have to list other movies for me to compare. If it were on the same level as The 40-Year-Old Virgin, I might go, but if it's a Nascar-version of Anchorman, I'll probably never see it 'til I'm at a friend's house and they suddenly go, "Oh hey, have you seen this yet? I just bought it," and show it.

If you lked Kung Pow (actually, even if you didn't) you should check out his Thumb Movies. They are hilarious.

I KNEW his voice sounded familiar, especially since he voices all of the characters in Kung Pow.

One of my best friends in high school was a big fan of Thumb Wars and had me watch some of it. I don't remember much, but the voices stuck.

Haha. I come to find out he hated Nacho Libre. He told me otherwise when we saw it. He said it was worse then Nacho Libre though, and that's pretty harsh. X_O

I think the best way to describe it is...it's Will Ferrel. If you don't like his sense of humor, you won't like the movie. If you do, you'll like the movie. So just ask yourself if you liked his others, then you'll know whether or not to see it.
