"What? Oh... well... it's fine with me. Dalit, would you like to be a ring bearer? All you have to do is walk down this walkway when they tell you and give the rings to Kevin when they ask for them."
*Dalit looked from her mother to the Father, a bit hesitant. Finally he nodded in agreement* Edit: since Azen hasn't been on, took over Dalit for this little part so we can wrap this up. (Last edited by Elara on 07-28-06 11:43 PM) |

OOC: Here ya go, guys. I'll probably be able to post later on tonight if you post in time, tommorow, I dunno yet.
Jack felt a little odd right now in a suit, but even though Kevin had told him to do otherwise, he felt it was best to get himself into one. He wore a dark grey undershirt, and a black tuxedo. It was form-fitting, and stylish, properly accentuating his lean yet semi-muscular form. As he brought out the camera, he called over a few 369 units and instructed them how to use the camera. He pulled out a few digital cameras as well, handing them out. His face had a joyous undertone to it, and he was back to his joking self, but the sense of sadness that plagued his extroverted attitude was gone. He opened up his communicator. "You heard the Father. Hurry the fuck out here!" He laughed and closed the signal, throwing the communicator to the ground. He looked over at Kiera, who was wearing a crimson dress and looked absolutely stunning, captivating Jack for a few moments before he returned to focus. He walked up the aisle and patted the Father on the shoulder, taking his position as Best Man. "They better hurry." As he said this, a large cluster of 369 in varied levels of appopriate dress came from the large wooden doors, taking seats. The mood was good, the sun was shining, and worries were the last thing on Jack Eldridge's mind. (Last edited by Cairoi on 07-31-06 02:36 PM) |

*Dalit took his place where he was told as Morrighan took her seat near the front. She smiled slightly as she watched everyone gather for the ceremony. It had taken five minutes to get Dalit in a little suit, and he looked adorable in it. She hoped all would go smoothly* | |||

As he emerged from the facility, he was surprised to see quite the entourage. Most of the Ullric pack had arrived, and many of the 369 staff was seated there, as well. However, he still felt alone as he walked down the aisle. He wished his father was there to see him. Still, he tried to erase the feeling of despair and replace it with the desired elation he’d feel, knowing that the woman he loved would be with him forever after this magnificent occasion. The stereo setup was playing the expected and appropriate wedding songs for the time, and as he stepped under the trellis, the Father smiled at him.
Soon, after several seconds, she emerged. The white dress flowed across her body, and her heavenly visage was so much of a sight to behold that Kevin started to feel almost choked up. The Elder walked with her on one side, and the Ullric High Priestess came with her on the other. Soon, they parted ways and took a seat. Francine ambled slowly up the aisle, and met her lover with a heartfelt smile and an equal amount of emotional bliss. With the two counterparts together, the Father began his part and cleared his throat as the music stopped. “We have gathered here today to witness the marriage of Kevin Katsuyori and Francine Ullric, under the rites of Holy Matrimony. These two heroes of the 369 special services have been together for over two years, and their bonds are unbreakable. Perhaps it was the dangerous life they both led in pursuit of freedom from the corrupted Government that kept the fiery passion for each other aflame. Now then. The bride and groom have made separate vows for each other that they have written themselves and would now like to share.” Kevin nodded, and took out a slip of paper from his jacket pocket. As he read it, his voice cracked a bit from the emotion and happiness he was feeling welling up from within. “Francine; from the very first day I met you, I knew there was something special about you. Working with you from that first day, I felt a chemistry between us; one that I’ve never felt before. You have given me so much, and everything you have to offer, I cherish and hold dear. You are talented and strong, smart and witty. I love how caring you are when I need compassion the most. I love how you always know the right things to say whenever I need some words of wisdom. I even love it when you get cranky when you’re hungry.” At that remark the audience laughed a bit, and Francine even smiled at his comment. “You are a wonderful person, beautiful on the inside as well as on the outside, even though we are of differing races, we’ve always stuck it out together and never folded even when the cards were down. I am so lucky to have met you, and I am eternally grateful to the powers that be for letting you be my wife. I love you.” The tears rolled down her cheeks, as she pulled a piece of paper out of the bouquet of white flowers, and began to recite. “Kevin, you are a godsend. You have protected me, cared for me, and nursed me when I was injured. You have always been there, through thick and through thin. I love you so very much. So much so, that I honor you enough to marry you in the way of the humans. You have bore your soul to me, and I have helped you carry your burden throughout the years, lightening the load through words of love. Even though we’ve hit bumps in the road to marriage, we always bounced back and felt even stronger for each other. I couldn’t ask for a more perfect man. You have given me all I could ever ask for. Thank you, Kevin. I love you, with all my heart.” As she finished, the Father cleared his throat again. “Kevin Katsuyori: Do you take this woman, Francine Ullric, to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, until death do you part?” Kevin nodded. “I do.” ‘Francine Ullric: Do you take this man, Kevin Katsuyori, to be your lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, in sickness and in health, for better or for worse, until death do you part?” Francine, too, nodded. “I do.” “If there is anyone who has reason why these two should not be married, let them speak now, or forever hold your peace.” After a long silence, the Father resumed. “Please take out your rings, and slip them on each others’ finger.” Kevin and Francine did so, as they had received the rings from Dalit shortly before the ceremony officially began. “By power invested in me by the Holy Catholic Church and the State of Massachusetts, I now pronounce you Husband and Wife. You may kiss the bride.” Kevin and Francine met in an equal embrace of arms, and their lips met for the first time as a married couple. It seemed like a millennia that she was in his arms, and Kevin could not be happier. The music resumed, and the kiss ended, and as the couple walked quickly down the aisle, grinning ear to ear, cameras went off left and right. As they neared the end of the aisle, Francine tossed her bouquet behind her into the audience, and by sheer chance, it landed right in the arms of Morrighan who waved it about almost triumphantly. The ceremony could not have ended on a more perfect note. |

The gallant and glorious ceremony could only be best celebrated by a reception of equal splendor. As soon as the wedding was over, the bride and groom were given an hour or two to themselves as the almost never used ballroom was cleaned up and made into a beautiful reception area. Wiccans used their magic creatively to clean the facility as did the humans and werewolves. In an hour and a half, Kevin and Francine entered to find a dimly-lit ballroom with gourmet food, a DJ, and enough tables and chairs to hold everyone who had gone to the wedding. At the head table sat chairs for Kevin, Francine, Jack, Morrighan, Dalit, Kiera, the Father, and Eidos. Jack sat only for a moment, as he took it upon himself to cater the food with the other volunteers. Once the party was underway, the food was dispensed, and everyone comfortable and blissful, Jack moved to the table and began his speech.
“Everyone, please, please, you only have to listen to me one more time, then you’re free.” Scattered laughs resounded as everyone turned their attention to Jack. “I would just like to be the first to say these two will have some…interesting looking children.” Heavier laughter than before as Jack gave a joking smile to Kevin . “Kevin’s going to shoot me if I poke anymore fun at him, so I better start getting serious… This is it, guys. We fought with blood and tears for a lighter age, one where we can share happy times without fear, and this is it. We’re here to celebrate the wedding of Kevin Katsoryui and Francine Ulrich, but I can’t say this is an entirely happy occasion. For as fear leaves our mind, sadness fills it’s place. Kevin’s father James, my…sister Aldis, Xeios, Urashi….But, this wedding also serves as a marker. This is truly the day we can say is the new age. This wedding is uncompromised bliss, and we should look forward to more glorious times like this. I don’t doubt for a second these two will have kids, and many of you here will set up homes and find a new purpose in life. We can look forward to an age without persecution, without genocide and tyranny. We will make a new, greater country than our predecessors, as these two will make a family and home together. We have nothing but happiness ahead of us. So now, I propose a toast. A toast to the new couple, to freedom, to a greater life. I wish you the best, my friends, and I love you both. We’ll see a lot of each other as we grow older, and may we never forget this beautiful wedding and the times we’ve shared. A toast, I say, a toast to these two!” The crowd cheered and raised their drinks, meeting Jack’s in the air. He smiled as tears began to well up in his eyes, and he sat down amidst the clamor. He patted Kevin on the shoulder as the DJ began playing “Accidentally in Love” by the Counting Crows, getting everyone on up to the dance floor. The reception carried onto the dance floor, where the triumphant danced for quite some time. Needless to say, if Jack wasn’t dancing with the bride (or for a memorable dance with the groom), he was drawn to dance with Kiera. It just seemed that love was in the air. And also, Jack could not help but notice Morrighan and Eidos dancing, and the look of joy in Eidos’ eyes as they did. He laughed to himself, seeing the future in plain sight. Dear Ted, Jack here, thought you might like an update on how things are going as of lately. It’s been two years since the wedding, to the day, and I know living in seclusion like you do it’s hard to get news. You know, a lot can really happen in two years. Well, Kevin and Francine have settled down in a lake house, both of them members of Kiera’s council. Yeah, Kiera’s the president of the Restoration Committee, meaning she’s the head honcho of the nation right now. We live together now, by the way. For some time, I’ve been visiting Morrighan and Dalit whenever I can, checking on young Dalit’s progress and overall keeping my friendships alive. I’ve noticed Eidos has taken it upon himself to help Dalit and Morrighan live in a way suiting the hard work they put into their past. I’m relatively sure he loves Morrighan, which belies his character. I’ve heard no news of Xeios or Chaos since the Government was overthrown, or the Aren house in general. I believe vampires as a whole have taken to the path of myth and legend, hiding themselves from the world. Wherever they are, I hope they’ve found the solace we’ve achieved. I’ve been elected as the High Arch mage of the New Wiccan order, but it’s mainly just a title, nothing more. I get steady income to finance myself and my missions. Mainly I’ve been doing charity work and lying low as the others do the political assignments. Whatever, I go where I am needed. However, I’ve heard news of a former Government militant army rising. I told Kiera I’m going to go assist some Western Coast cities, but in truth I’m going to look into the rumors and see if I can stop the chaos before it begins. Ted, I get the feeling I won’t be coming back to Massachusetts for a long time. If I don’t send you a return letter within a month, please head to the new capital and watch over the others from the background for me, eh? I appreciate it, old friend. Well, I’m off. Ted, I wish you the best of luck and good tidings. I hope this blessing will in return bare me well as I investigate. However, I only hope, not know. I play with the hand I am dealt with. Until our paths cross again, Jack Eldridge As Jack finished writing the letter, he folded it onto the envelope and placed it neatly into his comfortable black pant’s left pocket. He walked into the bedroom, where Kiera was sleeping soundly with a smile on her face. Jack was still mystified by her beauty, and how much he loved her. He placed a letter on the counter next to her that read “I love you.” and gave her a kiss on the forehead. “I love you, Kiera.” Kiera shuffled in her sleep, her smile growing a tad. Jack chuckled quietly as he lifted himself from his seat on the mattress. He walked over and looked in the mirror. He looked almost exactly the same as two years ago, despite a few haircuts bringing his hair a tad shorter and the stubble growing harder on his face. He put a tight black t-shirt and walked to their front door, reaching for the brown trench coat he had not worn since he fought the Government. With absolute silence, he opened the door and closed it, absorbing the dawn air. He placed the letter to Ted in the post box near their condominium and walked down the street into the thick sea line fog, disappearing from view. He hoped he would return soon with questions answered and fears misplaced. But as he had told Ted, he knew not. He only played with the cards he was dealt. This is the end of Innocence Gone, guys. We finally finished it. Kudos to the greatest RP this board has ever seen. |
