So, It's a normal boring old day at Gamestop, when Rachael(my manager) starts complaining about feeling sick. So I say to her "Ok, why don't you go chill out in the back for a bit, see if you feel better. I've got the store under control." So she goes in the back, I'm cleaning shit up, and I start to hear crying from the back, I ask her if she's alright, and she says she's fine. I go back to work, la la la...A little bit later I'm ringing a customer(one of three for the night) and I hear more crying in the back. I finish up the trasaction and go bang on the door to the office...No answer...I start to worry. I go bakc to the store and begin pacing. I speed-dial my manager and get him on the phone. "Andrew, where are you, Rachael is in the back office and I'm getting no answer." .... He says "SHIT, bang on the door more...BEAT the SHIT out of the door, I'll be there in a bit, if you don't get a response call in an ambulance."

I beat the shit out of the door, I hear a muffled "uuhhhhhh" i say "Rachael, open the door, pass me the keys something, are you alright?" She knocks the keys under the door and I grab them, open it up and she's lying on the ground. I basically keep her consious till my manager gets there and I'm freaking out most of the time. She passed out about 4 or 5 times in my arms, it was pretty fucking scary I'll tell you that...She should be ok though, sshe was taken to the hospital by her boyfriends mother.

**hugs** Well...even though I was on the phone with you while you were typing this thread up...I didn't imagine it would be like this.

That does sound like a very scary situation and I'm proud of the way you handled it, I really am. Let me know how she's doing and stuff when you find out.

I've had an experience like that. My college buddy was depressed and tried to kill herself by taking too many pills... so I took care of her that night, made sure she ate and didn't fall asleep, comforting her while she cried and cried.... I was so scared she was going to die. She wouldn't let me call an ambulance or ANYTHING... so I was terrified.

I hope your manager is alright, though.

She's fine, and I just realized I forgot to put in what happened. She had been perscribed anti-depressants she was taking for that day only and she got sick and had an allergic reaction to them. Her throat swelled up, but everything got better as soon as I got into the room. She kept telling me how customers were in the store and I should take care of them until I just yelled "FUCK THE CUSTOMERS" at her. Yea, pretty funny. Then I went out and explained to them that my manager just passed out, It's a good thing they didn't hear me.

You handled the situation better than what I would have, knowing me I would have freaked out. Nothing like this has happened at my work except one of the guys down in the warehouses was packing a large pallet, he wasn't watching what he was doing and the blade which was cutting the plastic sliced part of his finger off .. not nice

I'm glad to hear she is ok, it's a bit of a worry to know that a doctor prescribed the anit-depresants

A doctor yes, a good doctor, probably not. Just like that time a doctor perscribed me penicillen(which I'm deathly allergic to). I was a baby at the time and don't remember but I think I swelled up somewhere, not sure where though.

And a little while ago, I almost got perscribed Penicillen for Strep throat. When I noticed what she was writing down and I said "I'm allergic to that you know." She looked at my file a little more and said "ooops, that makes this a little harder to cure then."

Holy crap, its a good thing that you kept your cool. Its good to know that she's doing okay

Yeah, I don't know why we're paying doctors anymore! They screw up more things than anybody else and get more money because they sent to college for a few more years than your average electrition. They don't even do their jobs! The worst time I've ever had at the doctor's was when I had to get a sebacious cyst removed from the top of my head.

The guy said he'd only be a minute. An hour and a half later, he came in and said that he couldn't operate on it at that office (it was a small, one doctor facility) and told us that we had to go to the hospital for that. We angrily shelled out the $50 (for WHAT???) and a week later, I got it removed at the hospital for cheaper than it was to wait in that bastard's office.

Sorry about my rant, but I just don't like doctors anymore.
