Kittybob (many of you know her as Christina) JUST had a baby.

For the past few months she'd been going on about people thinking she was pregnant because had she gained a bit of weight and her stomach had gotten a bit larger, but she fended it off saying she was just fat.

Seriously, none of us, including her, knew she was pregnant until her water broke.

OH MY GOD!!!

Well, I'm just really, REALLY excited right now and I'm off to her house to see this MASSIVE surprise.

EDIT:
Now that I've just gotten home and seen what I wrote in my extremely excited posting, the title should read "friends."

Christina named her baby, Jayne Marie, which was after the father's grandmother, Jane, and she just chose to spell it differently. I laughed when I mentioned the "Firefly" reference and she pulled back and laughed in absolute astonishment. Jayne is her favorite character and she didn't even think about him when naming her daughter.

Apparently now, it really is a girl's name.

I told her she should knit the orange cap for Jayne, and she laughed in agreement.

I'm so freakin' excited.

Wait, the Christina that I know? Who's the dad anyway?

Anywho, tell her I said congrats... what a surprise that must have been! How did she not know? But yes, give her hugs from me.

Yes, this is the very same Christina. Dated Garrett for a while. Whom I was trying to get in a relationship with Pat, and whom Pat once in a while considered the idea of dating.

The father's her current boyfriend, Jayson.

Seriously, he never got that talk that all boyfriends dread hearing: "I'm pregnant and I want to keep it." No... he got: "The baby's crowning, will you be cutting the umbilical cord?"

In the matter of hugs, however, when I went to hug her last night, I didn't get within gentle nudging distance before she had to pull away because her chest is all tender and sore. But I'm sure she'll be ready for hugs eventually.

Wow... I'm still in shock just learning about this. So, how are the new parent's coping?

I told Jayarre about this and he nearly had an heart attack thinking that Pat had spawned or something.

Well they seem to be coping all right. Christina's just completely taken with motherly love. I mean, she's just all "AWWWWW!!!" and "She's so adorable!" and all those things you hear new mothers go on about while they look over their sleeping newborn.

Jess (Jayson) seems fine. He has the fatherly pride, but when I saw him he still had hints of the WTF-look he had when Jayne was born.

The most ironic thing (and this is why I was so shocked), her gynecologists had told her that she couldn't have children and every time she'd incidentally gotten pregnant, she'd miscarry. She really was upset the last time she miscarried because she wanted to carry it to terms.

When she told me her period had stopped, she'd said it was because it was the sign that her life of possibly carrying a child was over. She was even more upset about this because Jess had been going on about wanting children in his later years and she felt disappointed that she couldn't provide them and she'd worried that he'd probably leave her.

Well...

To be honest, when she was starting to show, even I was denying it because of what she'd told me about not being able to carry and I didn't connect the two. It wasn't until late October, while I was looking at her at a profile one night that I noticed that she really did look pregnant, but again I just dismissed it as her gaining some weight.

We didn't really get to hang out much in past couple months since she dropped the class she had with Brandon and me and she had gone back to work slaving at Pizza Hut, so when we'd see her, her belly was hidden behind a counter.

And she was trying to find the right way to propose to Jess.

Oh how surprised her gynocologists must have been! That is rather odd though... I still would have been more worried about the period stopping if I had been her. I mean, even infertile women have periods until they hit menopause.

But yeah, it is good to hear that they are coping well and that their little surprise isn't causing trouble between them. Hopefully things work out all spiffy and whatnot.

....Wow, talk about being blessed! That's wonderful news and I'm glad things are well. She even has a cute story to tell her baby when she grows up about her birth. Well congradulations to her. Hopefully I'll see her myself at some point to wish it personally.

Little bit of an update.

Jayne and Christina (Kittybob) are doing well. I finally remembered to bring my camera when Zoso and I came to visit a few days ago.

JAYNE!

There was some discussion over whom she more closely resembled.

Jayson (also called Jess), the father? :

He's the blond in the leopard-print hat, looking at the camera.

Also not a great one of him, seeing as he's got make-up on, but I don't have many pics of him.

OR...

Christina :

Just after getting her new car. Taken in front of my house.

When Zoso answered the door wearing only a towel and I wanted to capture the moment.

My money's on Jayne looking much more like her mother.

I have to agree... the brown hair and eyes make it so. Of course signs of Jess will most likely show when she gets bigger. Usually does, but overall I think Jayne looks more like her mother.

That's quite sweet of you and Kittybob said thanks, and we'd like to see pics of Brielle.

I'll all excited. Zoso and I are going to be her godparents. Woohoo!

The mom most certainly is. Not sure about the father. Funny thing, though. She was naming her after the father's grandmother, Jane, and just decided to spell it with a "y" to make it different.

When I had first heard the baby's name, I had laughed and told her I thought it great that she had named the baby after our very own hero of Canton. My friend was astonished and didn't even realize the namesake. And Jayne's her favorite character too.

Apparently the first order of business costume-wise, according to her mother, is making an ewok costume for her for when we go to conventions. I personally want to make her a little Yoda costume (like this one) and get a baby carrier for your back so it looks like Yoda being carried around by Luke in Empire.

Oh we have such plans for her.

Sorry to talk so much, but I get really excited talking about Jayne. Oh, and they've taken to calling her Jaynie, but I still (out of respect for the man) call her Jayne.
