If so I wonder if they still sell new copies of Xenogears... still need to play that one myself. TP: You definitely need to beat it. It's way more conclusive than most FF's if I remember right. |

| My friends and I are pretty much ready to give up on the series, we could probably drop it at any moment. It's at the point where we're watching it for comic value. I mean you guys have to admit the last episode had some horrendous directing, when Peter grabbed Parkman's arm ... "I just took your power!" and gave the snarkiest look, it was hilarious. Then they team up with their Jedi mind trick looks ... also how would Peter be able to use that power at Parkman's level so quickly?
And I certainly hope to god they're done with Sylar's sidekick. Way to ruin the best character in the show. Either leave that kid or kill him, seriously. I'm absolutely sick of Claire's character, everything about her, and pretty much all of her family. Didn't the staff admit that attempting to give her a love interest in season two was a huge mistake? Well ... what's happening again? I also can't help but wonder when that guy's power will ever be used again, lol. |

| That's definitely what I've heard a lot from others, it can be more enjoyable to people who haven't read the graphic novel but at the same time it's not like the movie butchered the story or anything ... or so I generally hear.
Saw it earlier today and I really enjoyed it. I personally haven't read the novel yet myself, though I plan on picking it up pretty soon. A few of my friends I was with had read the novel and still enjoyed it, though they noted that the ending above most things was altered in a way they didn't really care for. Spoiler:
Supposedly the movie makes Dr. Manhatten out to be the "evil" of sorts, while that isn't the case for the novel? But yeah, very impressed. I'd rank it up there along with Batman Begins, Iron Man, etc, and supposedly filmmakers thought this was one comic that'd be near impossible to adapt? My friend mentioned something like that, but from most of things I'm hearing it sounds like it turned out pretty well. |

I would just like to say that, Sora wo Kakeru Shoujo is awesome.
Kannagi is my waifu. Also, this is like ... "The last thing you'd see Xeo watch", seriously this kind of series is usually not my cup to tea at all (cutesy stuff, lots of loli's and whatnot) and I'm sure all the sci-fi elements help, but it really is fun stuff. Hell, it'll probably be way better than what Gundam 00 has become, oh and Code Geass R2 also. Because it's NOT taking itself seriously! |

Ah, Studio Ghibli, movies I can enjoy dubbed! I actually like their dubs a lot.

Anyways, Castle in the Sky is one of my favorites too. That one is just really unique. Other than that I've always been a big fan of Princess Mononoke and Nausica. I saw Howls Moving Castle in theaters a few years ago which was cool, not one of their best but still really good (I've heard the novels are quite different or something supposedly).

Overall it's a good game... but I'm not sure if I can say anything beyond that. Personally, I thought Dead Space was much better. It just really feels like a big step down from RE4. The game is extremely linear and easy (no puzzles basically), broken up into levels and there's no save points or merchant to buy and sell things, the story and characters feel a bit empty (but everything with Wesker was epic)... etc. They even took out some good features in RE4 like being able to instantly use a herb off the ground, or combine it with another herb in your inventory even if it was full. You can't do any of that here. The whole game feels like it was made entirely with co-op in mind. Sheva's AI is pretty dumb and it's just not that fun having her around when you're playing alone. Game probably takes about half as long as RE4 to beat too. All in all I have to say, it's kind of a disappointment. I went in thinking this could be one of my favorites for 09', I knew it probably wouldn't beat out RE4, but it really is just a major step down. Still, worth the purchase and it'll keep me busy for awhile with all the unlockables and stuff. (restricted) | (restricted) |
