| I am greatful for what little I am recieving. I think welfare is a good idea, but it's not used in the way it should be for most people that are on welfare.
You know what I'm talking baout. WIC (Women Infants and Children), foodstamps, cash for families, HUD, etc. I don't know how it's set up in other states, but let's start with foodstamps and go from there. In Oregon, we used a card, much similar to an ATM card. You can use your foodstamps to buy... well.. Food! But when you use it, you have to swipe it through a credit terminal. Next, it gives you the option to use it for "food" or "cash." What this enables people to do is use their foodstamps, their money they're recieving from the government (and us taxpayers), to buy other things like clothes, DVDs, and even games. ANOTHER fault with this card is that you can chose to recieve cash back. So basically, they've turned this whole thing into one giant clusterfuck. Instead of giving food to needy families, they have opened a can of worms, so to speak. Those people can get cash back and go buy marijuana if they wanted to. I think that's really f**ked up. Another thing they told me at the welfare office. Since I'm pregnant, when my baby's born, I don't have to work until he is 6 years old and they will provide for us. ~I'm~ going to work, but I think that's one of the main reason people keep having kids. More people in your household=more foodstamps/money/etc. As long as you have a kid under 6, you don't have to work. How do you all feel about this? I take what I can get ($10 a month, yay?) and use it for things like... FOOD! But so many people are using it irresponsibly (I'm a cashier for Walmart, I see people use it all the time), it makes me sick. Discuss? |

| But Vulkar, a glass of wine a day HAS been scientifically researched to be benrficial. Red wine to be exact. Alcohol, if consumed in quantities, is dangerous. One glass a day gives enough timefor your liver to process out the poisions as it will do with ANYTHING else you consume. It is not getting overloaded and stays perfectly healthy until your take to alcoholism.
This isn't really an anti-mormon subject, though. So here's another question. About children and the afterlife (because I don't know much about the afterlife in any religion). You're 18 and married. Both you and your husband/wife die in a car crash. Do you stay with the family you were raised up in in heaven, or with your husband/wife? Or do you all stay connected somehow? |

Who plays DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) or ITG (In The Groove)? Do you pplay home or arcade? If at home, do you have a dance mat or controller? I play for my scores in an arcade. All my song scores are listed Here! I also have a GrooveStats account, Located Here, but I only have two scores. The nearest machine to me is in Eugene, but not for long because... | I can't really listen to musc to relax myself. I like to sing, I like to listen. I pay attention when I listen to music, so I can't really relax.
For a while though, when I was going through my depression stage, I would listen to Blink 182's "Adam's Song" and it would make me think twice about doing anything to msyelf. Funny. That song is playing on my playlist right now. Hehe. |
