I guess its not a "bad note", I mean we all want to see the War of the Machines sometime.
Its just ... that. That's what bugs me about all this, I just don't know what to expect now. Rumors are going around that Arnold might be in the background and help out with the projects as well, though I don't think that's officially confirmed. Its probably no surprise if he doesn't return to uprise his role once again because of his age, physical self, etc. But yeah. James Cameron would be great. But we can dream. | Thing is, if it's the future, they don't need Arnold. In the war they only use T-90's (the metal skeletons) and HK's (Hunter Killers, the tanks guys), and some other things. Point is, they don't really use T-101's (The human looking ones), except for infiltration, but everyone knows what they look like. | |||

| OK, so I caught the pilot episode while I was at Comic-Con. It's okay (okay being so-so and not near as special as I expected). It could have been better, but I'm not complaining. Based on what was put in the pilot, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it's canceled after 13 episodes.
No offense to anyone who sees it and likes it. During the Q&A that was had afterwards, the creators said that the show completely ignores the fact that there ever was a T3, so everything follows T2 and goes where it wants. |

This show honestly doesn't seem -that- bad. If you go in seeing it as its own entity, it's not bad. The first episode is a little annoying though, basically taking a big dump on a lot of stuff we previously knew, but I guess that's no surprise since they had to setup the show somehow. It's not epic. but it seems worth watching so far. |

| Honestly it's taking some rather interesting turns and while it's not my favorite show, it's still worth tuning in.
Here's a question, though, if Sarah and John somehow manage to stop Judgment Day, wouldn't that make John cease to exist? In other news, I'm rather excited about this upcoming T4 movie featuring Christian Bale as John Connor. |

| You can't stop Judgment day. The books clearly explain that, even though you can change the future and there are different timelines, everything tends to revert back to it's original form. That's why, even though they killed Dyson, Skynet still gets built.
You can't stop it, only postpone it. |

All in all if the Terminator series wanted to be perfect it should have stopped right after the first movie, with that one it'd be a neverending time paradox. |

In the books the plans for plasma weapons are taken from the memory of a Terminator. Which means no one invents them. They find it in the Terminator, so that it can exist in the future, for the Terminator to take it back, for them to discover it, for it to exist in the future, for the Terminator to take it back, for them to discover it... |

In T3, Arnold was a T-850, but seriously? - Lastly, supposedly the time transporter that Kyle Reese and the terminators take to get to Sarah and John's time period can only take living things through. | One thing that's sort of been bugging me since the first episode (which I'm also amused to find that entertainment critics have picked up on)--what's up with Summer Glau's terminator character having a personality throughout most of the first episode and once she's revealed that she's a cyborg, she has the vocal inflection of a brick?
I mean, she was able to joke and talk like a normal person and then suddenly she's Vicky from "Small Wonder." "Bitchwhoremuch"?
My best guess is that since the first episode was the pilot, which was filmed well before the rest of the other episodes, Summer (or more likely the writers and episode directors) dropped the human impersonation. (Last edited by Rogue on 02-04-08 03:41 PM) |
